Little Teddy and Caregiver Cristina.

Teddy's Headspace Age: 4

Scene:

Cristina had to go back to the hospital to quickly check on a patient and had told Teddy to go to bed at 9:30 since she had an early surgery the next day.

Cristina Pov:

After giving Teddy her usual after dinner bath,I remembered that Mer had asked me to check on her patient tonight since she was heading over to Addie's house to hang out with her own caregiver. Obviously, since Mer is my person, I agreed. Unfortunately, I also need Teds to go to sleep on time which is difficult to do most days; but hopefully since she's all dressed in comfy sweats and has Bluey on while drinking milk from her sippy cup, it will go easier tonight. After quickly explaining to my little one what time I need her asleep by 9:30 and kissing her forehead goodbye, I headed out to the hospital.

Teddy Pov:

Mommy left a few minutes ago but I had a big problem. I don't know how to read the clock since mommy got the fancy hard to read one for our apartment. But I also didn't want to make her upset for not going sleepies when she told me to, so I came up with a plan. Maybe I could charm mommy out of not getting mad and I could still watch Bluey and I wouldn't have to worry about the time. This was the perfect plan I thought to myself while snuggling further into the couch with a blanket and my puppy stuffed animal named Mr ruffs.

Cristina Pov:

When I finally arrived back at the apartment, My ears perked up at a sound that I was hoping not to hear at this time of night. That very sound would have to be nothing but my baby girl giggling at Bluey on the tv screen thirty minutes after she was supposed to have gone to bed. Don't get me wrong, I definitely love my share of Teddy giggles but when those giggles are at the expense of a cranky little with an early surgery to get ready for in the morning, they are most definitely not as adorable as usual. " So my little monkey, do you want to tell me why you are up 30 minutes after bedtime?" I questioned. But all I got in response was a small shrug. " Well love there is a clock right here in the living room so I would assume you would have gone to sleep." Finally I got a response from my little, " Well Mommy how can you assume i can read the big clock cus im only four, i don't know how to read ittttttttttt." I mean I guess she has a point. " Well monkey, let's head to bed now, don't forget Mr ruffs babes." After both getting in to bed we drifted off for a good night's sleep.
