Things have been busy for us lately, summer is just around the corner and the café is busy as we're creating a new menu for the season. We also have a lot of authors knocking on office to have a chance to have their book included in our collection since summer means a lot more people will get to read their work and we're trying to accommodate as much as we can.

I'm organizing the prices for the new upcoming menu when I heard a knock on the door.

"It's open." Liya came in with folders on hand.

"Hey. These are the finalized lists of the authors and books that we'll feature this summer. The team wants you to approve before we start ordering copies." She said handing me the folders. I stopped what I'm doing and took it from her. Sumandal ako sandali at binuklat ito. I scanned the two page list and so far I'm satisfied with their choices. "How did the meeting go? I asked.

"Of course we were thorough with every single one of them.

"Thanks, try and rest. It's been hectic for me lately dahil nga sa dami naming inaasikaso. If you're wondering why Liya seemed working here as an assistant, it's because she is. This is my branch, she has her own in Ilocos, iniwan niya lang sandali ever since my situation with Oliver but sooner than later, I'm gonna have to send her back 'cause she can't leave her branch for long. Liya left my office and I rested my head on my table, as I was about to drift off I heard my door open so I looked at who it was and I saw Harlyn.

"Oh, I'm sorry. We're you sleeping?" I just shook my head and invited her in.

"Come and sit down." I fixed my hair and pulled myself closer to the table. "So, I heard you're discontinuing Hues of Bravery, why?" I asked. She took a deep breath before answering.

"I've been too stuck with the idea of publishing that book. I never thought that there will be  such thing, being too proud of publishing a book that I forget or even be lazy on writing a new piece. So I decided to let it go also, there's a new plot that came to mind which is why I agreed to come. I need your permission to write it. " She answered while paying the fidget spinner I have in my desk. Napataas ako ng kilay sa huling sinabi niya, why would she need my permission to write a story? Hindi naman ako nahawak ng writers, I just sell their books.

"My permission? Why?" She smiled and looked at me, putting down the fidget toy.

"I want to write a story inspired by your story with Oliver."

"And you gave her your permission? Are you sure that's okay with you?"
