It's the world of Pokemon... or so it was... a few years in every universe's equivalent the multiverse was attacked by both Team Rainbow Rocket and the Ultra beasts. Now those who have survived live in a universe were they have scrape by to survive. Now all that is keeping the people of this world alive is the Ultra Recon Squad. Now that humans and Pokémon are in this new world they now have to hunt down new resources and Pokémon from different universes to help with Pokémon Breeding, battling, and to create a new ecosystem for both humans and Pokémon.

Mom:Are you sure you want to do this though?
Kai:What do you mean?
Mom:I mean...who knows how dangerous some worlds are compared to others.
Kai:I know mom... but I just hate seeing both people and Pokémon struggle to survive. So someone has to help, and we both know that Ultra Recon Squad don't know what their doing.
Mom:That's true...
I looked up at the clock as I finished.

Ruby is from a more advanced version of Earth we're there are special implants that pass on through the generations, and her mother got them before Ruby was born, and five years after she was born a UB-05 Glutton (or Guzzlord) attacked. The small 45 percent of her universe's Kanto and Johto regions survive and make up most of the people I know in school. Back on track we continued walking to her mom's lab just see a line a mile long.
