By the time the apprentices were finishing up in the Mermaid Café it was getting pretty late, both Alex and Haruta were both exhausted, though for different reasons. Haruta was tired out from laughing and teasing Alex, while the latter was dying inside.

She still couldn't believe she'd been compared to a 8 year old boy... A pufferfish boy.

Do I look that bad? The girl asked herself internally for the 10th time, she wanted to cry.

Eventually Namur came back, beaming from ear to ear, his eyes seemed slightly red, a sign that he had been crying at some point. However the teenager looked like he was okay now, he obviously felt better for telling his aunt.

With some last hugs for Namur and some awkward waves to Haruta and Alex, the trio left the café. The weird tree light had dimmed, leaving the street washed in dark blue hues, it had become empty and quiet.

Alex followed the two kids at a slightly slower pace, all that excitement had really worn her out, at this point she was feeling groggy, her feet felt heavy, even Haruta telling Namur about her unfortunate situation earlier barely crossed her mind. Their laughter echoed faintly in her ears, her hair was still long, it hung over her eyes making her already fuzzy vision worse.

Then Alex hit something or rather someone, jerking the girl back to reality, her gaze slid up through her messy fringe, then onto the face of a fowl looking fish man, he sported a smile that was filled with dagger-like teeth.

The girl didn't exactly know what kind of Fish-man he was, but he was purple and had green patches spattered across his eyes like a mask, the markings made their way down to his big pot-bellied stomach, the spots seemed to have an odd glow to them, making Alex think of something toxic.

The blonde backed up, her singular blue eye fixated up at the fish-man with sharpness of a knife, her hands curling into claws. The man smelled strongly of booze, the way he swayed side to side told her that he was beyond drunk out of his sense of good and bad. From past experiences Alex knew this guy meant trouble, just from the way he smiled, his eyes bloodshot.

Finally her survival instincts kicked in, her body automatically rolling on to the balls of her feet, she fell into a slight crouch. Her fingers flew to her cloth belt to retrieve her wooden pole-arm, only to have her hand grab nothing but air. She suddenly felt a shiver of realisation run down her spine, the stupid old geezer had it. Or rather probably had had it, he had most likely chucked it overboard or snapped it in half.

A rumbling growl slipped out of Alex's curled up snarl, both angry at the old geezer and the fact that she had nothing but her fists to defend herself with... well that wasn't entirely true, she did have another weapon, but it was stashed in her mane and it was huge, like old banana face big. While the weight was no issue, the length made it extremely difficult for her to use.

The Half-Giant backed up, teeth still bared, her eye making quick flickering movements, desperately looking for an escape route, as the Purple spongy bloke was saying something, he leant forward's blocking her field of vision. Suddenly a blur of blue struck out, catching the man's arm before Alex had gone into bite him in self defence, it was Namur. The teen's laid-backed attitude had disappeared, replaced by a serious deadly darkened expression, in a low snarl he uttered a name with clear cut disgust.
