Chapter 12

*Y/N's Pov*
I woke up to a beautiful morning.
Sadly, it all went downhill quickly.
My head began to ache and I laid back down.

"You have a fever."Elise said at my bedside.
"Ughhh."I groaned.
'This is annoying.'I thought.
"Well, we're heading to school so just rest in your room."She said.
"Fine."I replied as she closed the door.
I went back to sleep after that.

*Elise's Pov*
"Elise, where's Y/N?"The teacher asked me.
"Oh, he had to stay at home because he came down with a fever."I answered.
"Alright."He replied then returned to the lesson.
The class was boring especially because Y/N wasn't here.
I hardly paid any mind to the lesson because I'm too busy worrying for Y/N.

*Lunch time*
*Ni-ki's POV*
While walking to the cafeteria,Jungwon and Jay hyung said they had to do something and when we asked what it was they said its a secret which made us suspicious because it may be about him.
When they left, we silently followed them.
We saw them approach Croyance.
'Wait, doesn't Croyance have a male member?'I wondered.
'It was the member who came down with a fever.Right?'I thought.
"Elise, what happened to Y/N?"Jungwon hyung asked.
"Oh, well he woke up with a fever."Elise answered.
"Too bad, we wanted to ask more about Y/N and Ni-ki's past relationship."Jungwon grumbled.
All of us stared at them in secret, wide-eyed.
'It's...Y/N?'I thought.
'Y/N...was my childhood lover?'I asked myself in my head.
While they're still talking, I walked out of the shadows and approached them.
They saw me and their expressions changed into fear.
"Were you eavesdropping on us?"Jay hyung asked in a shaky and terrified voice.
"Yes."I answered.
I looked at the members of Croyance.
"Is Y/N my childhood lover?"I asked them in a straightforward and serious manner.
They looked at each other, signaling each other whether or not they're going to tell me.
"Yes, Y/N is your childhood lover."Faith answered me.
"Can I talk to him?"I said, sounding desperate.
"Well, it's about time you two did so..."Elise said then gave me a key.
"Here's the key to our dormitory."
"Can we go now?"Agatha asked.
"Yeah, you guys can go."Jay hyung answered.
They left for the cafeteria and I told Jaywon to excuse me from afternoon classes, to which they agreed.
I started running to Croyance's dormitory and I arrived after 5 minutes.
I used the key and opened the door then after entering, I closed and locked the door to make sure no one comes in to invade the place.
I explored their dorm room by room and finally found Y/N's room.
*Knock,knock,knock*
"Come in."I heard a weak voice say.
I turned the doorknob and saw Y/N laying on his bed.
As he looked up to see who it is, he looked at me in shock.
"Ni-ki? Why are you here? How did you even get in here?"He launched a barrage of questions at me.
"Elise gave me the key."I answered the second question.
"Ok but still, why are you here?"He asked once more.
"I already know the truth, Y/N."I stated in a flat voice.
His face changed from confusion to terror.
"W-what do you mean you know the truth? I don't know what you're talking about."He tried to play it off but I can hear the nervousness in his trembling voice giving it away that he's lying.
"Don't even try to lie, Y/N."I said.
"You can't trick me."I added.
"But I don't have any secrets."He tried to force it but I won't budge that easily.
"Yes, you do."I said.
"Judging by your trembling voice, your shaking hands, you can't look at me directly in the eyes, and the sweat that's forming on your forehead, I know that you're lying to me that you don't have any secrets."I added, sounding like a detective that detected a lie coming from the criminal.
An awkward silence creeped in the atmosphere after I called him out.

"Why didn't you contact me?"I asked, breaking the ice.
"I was scared."He answered.
"Why?"I asked, desperate for an explaination.
