Time travel with Steve (take 2)

It was a normal day on Earth.

          The sun was shining, there wasn't a cloud in the sky. Tony, Shuri, Peter, Hope, Bruce and Hank were working on the finishing touches of their quantum tunnel. Shuri and Tony wanted to be funny and decided to paint it in the same way Steve's costume is. 

        Steve hadn't even seen the quantum tunnel yet. He was too busy trying to prepare himself for going back in time, seeing Peggy but not being able to talk to her and of course seeing Natasha's body.

           That was the thing that made Steve the most nervous for. He and Natasha had been the only ones who stayed at Avengers Tower during the blip, and it made them pretty close. When he heard she had died it brought him into a state of denial, he didn't want to believe she was dead. Steve of course had to shake himself out of it for the battle and now going to see were she died, it would take a toll on him.

           But in all his life whenever someone died he would just try and carry on. When he lost Bucky they were in the middle of a war, he'd lost Peggy in the middle of a civil war.

          But now he felt he could properly mourn Natasha seeing as they just got out of a war. He knew that she deserved every bit of sadness the world was feeling.

The quantum tunnel was finally finished and Steve was suiting up to go back in time.

Steve got to the tunnel and let out a big sigh.

"Really guys" he said in exasperation.

"Don't you love it Stevie?" Said Tony in a mocking voice.

"I tried to convince them not to" said Bruce.

"Thanks Bruce" replied Steve

         The science besties as Shuri and Peter had christened them started to prepare and push buttons. They got Steve to step into the tunnel and then he was gone.

Steve's POV

         As Steve looked around he realized that he was at the Sanctum Sanctorum 2012 and when he looked below he could faintly see Bruce/Hulk walking away.

"Hello Steve, I've been expecting you" said the Ancient one. "Bruce Banner has just left with the stone I take it that you are here to take it back"

"Yes I have it here" replied Steve

"Good"

        Steve handed the Ancient One the stone who took it carefully in her hands. She opened the Eye of Agamotto and put the stone in it.

Steve left as it seemed their conversation was over.

         Next Steve walked to the Avengers Tower and sneakily returned the scepter He next travelled to Asgard 2013. He found Frigga at the palace waiting for him.

"Thor told me everything and said to wait here" said Frigga "I take it that you are the one I'm supposed to wait for"

"Yes I'm here to return the Aether" replied Steve

"I take that you succeeded" she said

"Not without losses I'm afraid"

"Well good luck on returning to the past"

"Thank you"

Steve left still feeling nervous and sad about what was to come.

         The next stop was pretty quick and Steve only had to avoid Quill and send the stone back into the force field thing.
