I was with my good friend Janet as we were dress shopping. It's her friend's wedding in about a week.
"How does this look?" She said, holding up a hot pink dress. I could tell that she didn't really like it but she was running out of options, she shouldn't have left it so late.
"It's a bit too colourful, I'd go for something a bit more cool." I looked around and saw a beautiful lilac dress. I held it up and asked what she thought.
"Oh I love it!" She said with excitement in her voice and eyes. "I'll have to buy it! Brad will love it!"
I never really liked Brad. He has his opinions and if you say something he doesn't like he gets VERY offended, but I try not to say anything because I see that he makes Janet happy.
Janet bought the dress and I drove her home. I don't know the area that well and a storm started. I tried to listen to music to calm myself.
Suddenly, I heard a loud bang. The car stopped and I was in the middle of nowhere.
"Great, as if this day couldn't get any worse," I said to myself. I put my head in my hands and wondered what to do. I'm sure Janet would be cuddling up to Brad right now, not a care in the world.
I got out of the car and looking around and I could barely see everything, it's so dark. I remembered I passed a castle a few miles back, maybe the people who own it could be friendly.
I started to walk back to the castle, the whole time I was thinking "What if they're creeps? What if it's abandoned? Ugh why am I doing this, I should go back to my car." I ignored my thoughts and persisted towards the castle.
When I arrived at the gates, I saw a sign saying 'ENTER AT YOUR OWN RISK!!', well there's no point in walking back now, I was soaking and miles away from my car.
I entered the gates, which were conveniently open, but as I walked towards the castle I started to feel light headed, I could barely walk.
My eyesight went funny and I couldn't see anything, then I fell. I passed out just outside the door, how embarrassing.
