It was almost dawn. Jin watched the two idiots looking at him with wide eyes. He crossed his arms on his chest and leaned by the door frame "why are you two here in my apartment, at this ungodly hour?" he asked calmly, which was no less than a shock to both sleep-ridden confused boys.

"ahh... we wanted to surprise you..."

Jungkook wanted to smack his stupid little friend. He can't wait anymore. He looked at Jin's busted face and gazed into his weary eyes.

He wanted to just give comfort to the older. Even if he knew he would be pushed away, even if his advances were openly rejected, he wanted to just pull that man in his arm and tell him it was alright, he will be safe with him, he will be loved.

And amongst the spur of his thoughts, he stood on his feet and marched straight to Jin and pulled him in a hug.

Jin's eyes widen like a saucer, his heart stopped in the tracks for a second and he looked at Jungkook and then at Teahyung with confusion. He felt softness spreading like poison in his chest, he was afraid of this familiar warmth.

He groaned and pushed Jungkook away fiercely and spat angrily at him "what the fuck is wrong with you? Get the hell out of my life just fucking leave me alone! arghh" his voice shook with the intensity of rage.

He was so done with these people that he doesn't know anymore what he should do. The thundering pang in his head throbbed and he knelt on his knees with pain. His skin was glossy with sweat and red due to harsh pain.

"let it go." He looked up and found the blond boy sitting next to him with a tempting glass of cold water. He gulped a dry breath and took the glass of water from Tae's hand. He downed the cold water as his life depended on it.

"let it out." He heard Tae say it again. "trust me. It's just like keeping a serpent in your heart"

"cant... I'm cursed. Get lost while you can"

He felt a gentle pressure on his shoulder. He looked up and found Jungkook carrying the most honest and sincere beacons of shimmer in his eyes "All I know is... I have never seen you let your guard down. And it hurts. It hurts me to see you in pain. While at the gym, I watched you...not like a creep, but with wonder... and I can't deny attraction towards you. please say yes...don't say no to me."

The fuck???

"what?"

"let me stay here with you. And sorry bitch but I am your guardian angel from this moment forth..."

"what do you want to say?"

"....and I shall not let any scum near my precious..."

"hold on a minute Jungkook. I was talking to him..."

"oh keep going on. And where is the bathroom? I need to go...quick"

Jin groaned and pointed the direction to the bathroom. Jungkook threw a wink and sprinted towards the bathroom.

Taehyung sat on the cold floor with Mr. Perfect, who was deep in his thoughts.

"it's a nice place, your apartment is pretty," Taehyung murmured dreamily.

"hum..." Jin hummed in response, then he turned his pink puffy eyes towards Taehyung "hey...you people are... look...I don't trust myself...god knows what I would do... so leave before I hurt you... he is a kid...I just want you to do this favor to me... leave ...leave while you can..."

"Are you afraid of love Seok Jin!"

"I...I...ugh...no... I am not afraid...pffft...no! I just want to be at peace...like then...ugh this fucking headache is gonna be the death of me"

Taehyung held Jin's head in his lap and cradled his throbbing head. He softly started massaging through his sweaty hair. He smiled when he heard a hum of content from Jin.

"let me tell you something Seok Jin. This world is full of bullshit...and we humans need to dump the blames of our mess on someone. That someone is the person who we truly love and trust... this is the selfish trait of human beings..."

"Is that so?"

"yes... try lending your burden on someone else"

"... I'll bear it myself...god this fucking headache ugh..."

Taehyung massaged Jin's temples slowly. He wanted to give comfort to Jin as much as possible. He then popped out the pain killer and offered it to Jin, who was almost asleep.

"take this" Taehyung hands Jin his pain killer "Hobi hyung told us you have these in your drawer...so we sneaked it out"

Jin popped the painkiller in his mouth without any complaints and leaned by the cold wall. He shuts his eyes as the pain killer kicks in. he felt light-headed. He kept his eyes shut even her haunting face appeared in front of his eyes.

He took a deep breath, trying to calm his nerves down.

"hyung I'm hungry" he heard a childish whisper.

He opened his eyes again. His eyes landed on Jungkook's big ones. He frowned.

Jungkook licked his lips, a habit when he is about to declare he was hungry "hyung why is your double door fridge empty? You have no love for food! God!"

"let's go to the convenience store Kook. Let him rest" Taehyung nudged the pouty bunny boy who had a beef with Seok Jin's empty fridge. They turned to leave and Jin stood on his wobbly feet, an old habit to pay his visitors a goodbye.

"good riddance. Get lost and don't come back"

"huh you wish hyung." Jungkook stuck his naughty tongue out at Jin. Taehyung smiled at the duo.

And Jin shut the door with a big frown on their faces.

Taehyung sighed" stop being a bitch and help me find food."

"What! He's so cute and hot. You are just jealous he doesn't give you as much attention he gives me"

"fucker"

"ha!"

Jin listened to their banter with an ugly frown. His heart hurt like hell. His eyes shed a shitload of tears.

"fuck" he cursed at himself for crying.

They reminded him so much of his younger self. He wanted to smile like that again. He wanted to be free once again. He missed his good old days.

He missed his brother.

He missed his Namjoonie, the innocent little boy who was no less than a brother to him.

But along all these golden memories come the dark ones. The ones that contained her.

And he hated her the most.
