After about an hour of waiting "casually" outside, Fakir was officially worried.
Duck was supposed to be home, wasn't she? Had she turned back into a duck?
And if so...was she okay?
Fakir stuffed any conflicting feelings he had and figured that first things first he would go looking for her. Maybe she just got a place at the school or maybe she was still out with Mai and Yuma.
Except it was dark, and it'd been like three hours.
Fakir pulled at his hair.
"Why does that idiot do things like get lost doesn't she know there are people who care about her??" Fakir went back into his house and shut the door, sliding down the doorframe, head in hands.
"Please, please don't die I can't I wouldn't be able to handle it. Please Duck" Fakir held back tears. He'd been so close, so close to having her. She was so fragile and clumsy
no no
she was strong, and Duck didn't always need help. Surely she was going to be okay. Definitely.
Fakir got up and ran out the door to search for Duck. Unfortunately, after a solid hour and a half of roaming anywhere she might be, Fakir found no sign of a small yellow duck or a freckled teenage girl.
When he made it home he collapsed on his bed, weary and worried. Refusing to cry Fakir decided to write
He fell asleep at his desk instead, a small drawing of a duck on his paper.

By the next morning, Fakir was early to school in case Duck showed up. He was already practicing, hoping that the exercise would ease the number of possibilities that could have happened.
"You're up early Fakir, what nice dancing!" Mr. Cats voice broke Fakir from his trance.
"Mr. Ca- cat? You're a cat!" Fakir's usual seriousness wavered.
Mr. Cat was, well, a cat once again. Grey slender body and the warm up clothes he always wore.
"Yes? Stop with the nonsense Fakir, now come on, let's get on with the practice."
But Fakir had too much on his mind now. Was Drosslemyer back? Where was Duck? Was she safe? But Mr. Cat was a cat! what did this mean what was happening was there a new story? But he didn't write it? So Drosslemyer was back! But then was Tutu back too?
"Fakir! Pay Attention!"
"Right! Yes sir" Fakir let the static of his worries guide his dance, to which unfortunately Me. Cat caught on to and let the advanced class go early.
"Fakir, you stay behind for a moment."
"Shit." Fakir grumbled back. He had to find Duck
"Is there something on your mind? You seemed very preoccupied during class today."
"Yes I am looking for someone and,"
"Someone important? You in love?"
Fakir startled at the question, flushing. "I really have to go Mr. Cat, I'll see you tomorrow"
And Fakir dashed off out the doors down the stairs and into the sunlight of the courtyard.
Searching searching for the familiar orange haired Ahiru.
Instead he spotted Mai and Yuma.
"You girls. You're friends with Duck right?"
"Who's askin?" Yuma squinted at him.
