Abi spent most of the morning watching TV in the living room. She was a bit concerned by how quiet her brother was being. Louis had spent most of his morning in bed or in the bathroom. He was glad Abi had stayed downstairs because he was embarrassed about how awful he was still feeling. A couple of hours later Abi called up offering him food which he declined.
The twins were in after school club because Liam wasn't able to pick them up. However, Kate wanted to get home so managed to leave school early and pick them up. They were both excited to see her and didn't stop talking the whole way home which made her smile. Harry had moved up a ready level which made her super proud. Niall proudly told her he didn't have to miss any playtime for talking too much she rolled her eyes at this, "good!" She laughed.
At home Abi was catching up on homework she her mum and brothers got home. Kate prepared the twins and Abi a snack of fruit. "Where is your brother?" She asked.
"Thank you" Abi said when she was given the fruit, "I think in his room, I've not really seen him" she admitted. Kate nodded, once her two youngest were eating she quickly went upstairs. She knocked on Louis' shut bedroom door. "Yeah" Louis called Kate felt relieved as she opened the door and saw he was watching some sports on his TV. "Hey mum" Louis smiled, putting the TV on mute. "Hey, how are you feeling, Abi said you've been in your room all day". Louis shrugged and gave her his best smile.
"I'm okay, just tired" he said.Liam came home in time for dinner. Kate made something quite bland to be on the safe side. She was relieved when Louis joined them but she still felt something wasn't quite right. No one else noticed as he was chatting away like usual, winding his sister up and messing around with his brothers. After they had eaten Liam suggested they all watched a film. However, Louis' stomach was feeling bloated and sore again. "I'm going to get an early night I think, still pretty tired and have school tomorrow" Louis said.
Once Kate had done the dishes she asked Liam if he thought anything was off with their middle son. "No, he was on good form tonight at dinner" Liam shrugged, squeezing his wife's hand, "he's just tired, you worry too much" he chuckled. Kate nodded but still decided to check on Louis.
Louis was in bed curled up in pain, he was all ready for bed but couldn't sleep due to the discomfort. Kate frowned when she saw him, "you okay?" She asked sitting on the edge of his bed and feeling his forehead. Louis nodded with a sigh, "dinner hasn't sat great on my stomach" he admitted, "but I'm fine, don't feel sick just aches and feels uncomfortable". Kate nodded with relief, "here, let's see if some gentle pressure helps at all" she suggested, running his stomach softly, applying some pressure where she felt it bubble and groan. Louis soon drifted off to sleep. However, he was back up in the middle of the night, stomach cramping as he silently made his way to the bathroom. Thankful no one else was awake. He hoped school would be okay tomorrow as there was no way he'd be able to leave lessons as much as he currently needed to but he couldn't tell his parents, they would just worry and fuss over him.
Please let me know what you think, sorry if it's going quite slow! Any comments/ suggestions etc are appreciated x
