Chapter 13,"Nene!!"

Nagito continued to play and I tried to keep my mind on the game.
My sarcastic remarks and Nagito's playful responses kept the mood...calming as the rain continued to fall outside.

Nagito managed to get through half of the difficult levels but his death count was hilarious.Getting up to the 100s now.

"Ive never been so amused in my life!"

I laugh.

"Ugh...this game is rigged."

Nagito scoffs,his temper was getting alittle heated.I wouldve been mad levels ago.

"Youre doing fine for a total noob~!Want me to lift the rule for afew levels?"

I suggest.

"No.Im perfectly capable of getting through this alone."

He rolls his eyes.
This continues for about an hour.He was making progress.Way better than I expected.6pm came and went.We were so focused on the game,the outside world felt...like it didnt exist.

It continued until Nagito suddenly paused the game.I glance at him and I was abit surprised to see blood seaping from his nose.

"Ah.Are...you okay?"

I ask.

"Yes.Im fine.Sorry I paused it,we can continue."

Nagito smiles,wiping the blood away with his sleeve.

"You can rest.You may be overdoing it.Maybe thats why youre bleeding."

I suggest.

"Im okay,this just happens."

He reassures.
I didnt buy it.

"Okay.We'll take a break.Its almost 7pm.You can go and rest in my room and I'll finish the game for you."

I take the controller from Nagito and rest it on the couch.I grab his hand and pull him up to his feet.

"Hajime,im really okay."

Nagito frowns.

"Last time I heard that,the person ended up in the hospital in critical condition.To bed you go."

I wasnt going to be incharge of sending someone else to the hospital.I lead Nagito upstairs to my room so he could rest there.

"Go lie down."

I gently shove him into the room.

"Hajime,youre overreacting."

Nagito replies.

"Im just being cautious~!There are tissues in my bedside table.Use those if your nose bleeds again."

I suggest.

"Hajime---"

"See you in abit~!"

I close the bedroom door,leaving Nagito in there alone.An hour's rest isnt going to kill him.Maybe I can finish the game for him?He probably wont be happy with that though.

I head back downstairs.I glanced at the TV screen.The game was still paused.I suddenly didnt feel like playing anymore.Ive played this game 100 times already.

I turn off the TV and then fall onto the couch,burying my face in a couch cushion.I felt....tired.The sound of the rain beating against the roof gave me...comfort.I needed white noise to clear my mind.

I begin to think of the hole in the wall again.We cant just...pick up and leave,right?It wont be too long before someone realizes we're gone.

The sound of rain made me abit drowzy.Before I knew it,I had fallen asleep.It was a really rough day.
