Samantha's POV

I stared at my reflection in the mirror that Ethon had ordered made for me. "She's my sister." I muttered to myself, debating on whether I should change my outfit or not.

"I think you look satisfying." Ethon spoke up from behind me. I turned to look at him with wide eyes. "Just satisfying? Oh." I frowned, deciding to change. I walked to the chest of clothing in the room and tried to rummage through the pile of girl alien clothes.

"Why are you changing again? Is it not good?" Ethon asked, furrowing his brows at my actions. I huffed and turned to him.

"Just satisfactory doesn't work for girls, Ethon." I muttered, loud enough for him to hear. He got up and walked over to me. He had this look in his eyes that told me he's gonna try something new and human again.

He brought his lips next to my ears and whispered in the most low and deep voice ever, "I think you look beautiful." I felt weak at my knees and I could have turned into jelly right there. He stepped back and grinned at me.

"Is that better, Sam?" He asked, still grinning widely at his attempt to possibly make me feel good. I slowly, unsurely nodded. "Wh-where do you learn this stuff from?" I whispered out.

"Its called internet apparently, a human technology they got. You humans are very smart to create such a thing." He told me, making me nod and grin at the thought of him googling stuff for me.

A pang suddenly hit my feelings when I realised something. He was only doing this because i'm a human that he has to take care of. He doesn't have any kind of feelings towards me. I'm not a friend or anything more. "Well, that's good." I muttered.

Ethon noticed my sudden change of mood because the next thing i know, i'm being hugged tightly but lovingly by him. It wouldn't hurt to imagine he actually cares, right?

Why do I care?

My sister's name was Alina, like my mom. My dad had apparently named her after my mom because, he missed her all the time. "So, you're a full alien or half or full human?" She asked.

I stared at her wide eyed. She looked so much like me, even though we have different moms. "I uh actually don't know."

She narrowed her eyes at me, making me gulp. Suddenly, as if something clicked, her face broke out in a grin. She came up to me and hugged me tight. "You have no idea how much I wished to have a sibling. Thank you for coming, Sam."

My eyes widened as I realised, I matter to this girl. She was my sister even if we just met. She and I have the same father. I grinned, hugging back just as happily as her. "I'm so glad I have a complete family now." I whispered to myself.

A tear fell, then another and so on. I wasn't wailing. I was quiet but, how could it be possible?

There he was.

He was hugging me again.

How did he even know I was crying? He was busy with work.

"Ethon?" I asked, my voice breaking. He just hugged me tightly. He shook his head as if saying 'no'.

"I can feel something strange, Sam. I don't understand this. What is going on with me?" He whispered, his breath fanning my bare neck. I subconsciously fan girl as he caressed my hair.

When we pulled away I saw tears staining his cheeks. A man can cry too? I turned to my sister to apologise but she was standing there with a huge grin. There was a wild glint in her eyes. I rolled my eyes before turning to look at Ethon. "Can you please tell me whats wrong?"

He stiffened and stared at me with wide eyes. I was confused but I understood once I saw his father behind him. The look on Morik's face was one of anger. "Why is the future leader of our race, crying in front of a weak and pathetic human?" He demanded an answer.

Ethon turned around to face him but I stopped him and instead pulled him behind me as I had a stare down with Morik. "I'm not weak nor am I pathetic but, you on the other hand are a coward and a huge dick." I gritted out. I was about done with this guy. All he ever did was boss people around and be selfish.

"Watch you tongue with me, human. I can break your neck and kill you in a second if I will it." He spoke, anger radiating off him. I ddn't shrink down in fear as I expected to. Before I could say or do anything, Ethon pulled me behind him.

"You will not lay a single hand on her, if you even touch a hair on her head, you will have to find another son for yourself." Ethon said, making my heart feel warm at the sight of him defending and choosing me over his father. "And, as for crying, I was simply in an emotional state. Its something you could experience if you had something warm in that ice heart of yours. Maybe mothe-"

"Enough, Ethon!"

I bet he hit a nerve because, his father immediately walked away. "Is she a soar subject?" I asked, softly. Ethon knew that I understood because his face showed it, also showing pain and vulnerability. "Yes." He whispered, walking away.

"Well that was a lot of action for one day." My sister said behind me as she stared at Ethon's retreating figure.

"Sure was."
