Samantha's POV
Everything felt cold. I couldn't open my eyes yet and I didn't remember what had happened. I constantly rolled my eyes behind my eyelids, slowly opening but they felt heavy. At first it was all blurry but I could see the floor was grey. I was on the floor.
"Mom?" I asked, hoping she was around. I sat up against the wall before rubbing my eyes completely open. I soft gasp left my mouth as I looked around. I was alone in a metallic grey room. There was a door that was locked for sure but, I got up and walked over to it. I grabbed the strange looking handle and pulled as hard as I could. "The other female is right this way, Sir." I heard a deep voice say. That was my cue to start acting as I went back to the wall against which I was unconscious. I pretended to be asleep as the strangers opened the door. I looked from under my hair as a middle aged man walked through the door.
"I would say, this female is pure and attractive." One of the guards I'm guessing, told the middle aged guy. "You seem to be right, Laki." He spoke. He came towards me and ran a hard hand from my head to toe. I would have shuddered in disgust or fear but I couldn't let him know I was awake and aware of him. "I'll let Morik know of this one. She would fit the needs of Young leader." He said as my eyes widened at his words. He turned his back to me and started to walk out. I got up quickly and ran over to both men, kicking them in their family jewels. They both let out a cry of pain as I took the opportunity to run out of the room, locking the door behind me.
"Yes! Thank you video games." I did a mental victory dance before running in different corridors. I seemed to be lost as I knew nothing of this place. I ran and ran, avoiding guards. I was about to turn another corner when I bumped into somebody and fell on my butt. "Ow, can't you see where you're going?" I yelled, rubbing my thighs.
"So-sorry, I was trying to find the prisone-- Wait, aren't you one of the captured females?" He asked as I looked up at him. My breath was caught in my throat as I shamelessly checked him out. The man in front of me had really pretty grey eyes. I could get lost in them all-- No! I need to stop thinking this way! I don't date nor do I like dating. How was I even thinking of dating an alien in the first place? "I-- Look, please let me out of here." I looked at him pleadingly. He ran a smooth hand through his light brown hair and sighed. He stared at me intently before putting out his hand in front of me. I hesitated a bit, who wouldn't? He was a stranger and an alien. For all I know, he is the one that ordered me captured.
I stared at his hand, grabbing it eventually. Upon grabbing his hand, I felt a shock that made me let go and fall on my butt, again. I got up and gestured him to lead the way, rubbing my butt. He was my only hope in this. "Do you know where my mother is?" I asked him. He looked lost in thought but answered me nonetheless, "I don't exactly know what she looks like, they brought in many prisoners." My heart suddenly sunk, tears threatened to spill from my eyes as I whimpered. The guy looked at me before his eyebrows furrowed together in confusion. "May I ask something?" He asked. I looked at him but as I did, a stray tear fell then another. I just nodded and looked away, yet he still waited for an answer. "Yes." I whispered as I wiped my tears.
He looked at me as if reading my face. He brought his hand up and touched one of the tears. I froze, scared he would do something. He just looked like an adorable, curious child as he studied me. "Why do your eyes leak?" He asked in a soft voice. My eyes widened and I tried to think of an answer. He started to wipe my tears with his palm and I leaned into his touch. I suddenly realized what I was doing and stepped back a little. "They are called tears, they leak when I'm feeling a strong emotion. Like, sadness or too much happiness." I told him, blinking away the rest of my tears.
He sighed and we started to walk again. "We'll go towards the cells and you can try to see who your mother is." He told me. I started to breathe evenly due to the small hope that made me feel better. "Thank you, what is your name?" I asked him. He looked at me and smiled. "Ethon, Your's?" He asked back, an amused glint in his eyes. "Thats a very nice name, I'm Samantha but you can call me Sam." I told. He looked at me with that confused expression before asking, "Why shall I call you Sam if you are named Samantha?" I snorted at the cute question. He looked even more confused at the sound I made. "You shall call me Sam because its shorter and its my nick name." I told him and he just muttered an 'Okay'
We reached the cells soon enough and I started calling out for my mom. I knew if she was there, she could hear me as I had heard the guards. "Come back in here you little girl!" I heard a rough voice call out. This got Ethon's attention as he walked towards the cell. "Cron? How did you get in here?" He asked and I started to panic. What if he had me captured again. Ethon seemed like a nice guy, I was pleading God that he doesn't turn out to be bad. "Your female over there escaped and trapped us in." Upon hearing this, Ethon couldn't help but smile and let out a chuckle. It seemed so foreign to him because he was wearing that confused expression again. I wondered if he had ever been with nice people. Maybe he never got to experience these things. "I demand you let Sam go." He said to the guards inside as he unlocked the door for them. I let out a sigh of relief and grinned. In my excitement, I went over and tackled Ethon in a hug. He was startled at first and tried to push me off but then tried to hug me too. "What is this gesture?" He asked. His breath fanned my exposed neck and I shivered. "Its called hugging. I hugged you because i'm happy and thankful to you." I told him, letting go of him. He still clung to me like dear life. "Ethon, you can let go of me now." I told. He let go and smiled at me. "I don't understand these things happening to me but, you seem to make me feel different." He said and I realised he was talking about the smiling and laughing. I turned to the guards and saw them smirking at the both of us. "What?" I asked, narrowing my eyes at them. "Nothing, little female. Ethon, you have to ask your father for her release. Come with me." Cron said.
We arrived in an office, at least thats what it looked like. There were unusual items here and there. I had remembered through my exploration that they were not from earth. "Ethon, I have told you many times not to run off like that." The leader, Ethon's father boomed. Ethon huffed before crossing his arms in front of him. "I was just exploring, nothing wrong with that. I have much bigger matters than to talk about than my behaviour." He said. His father sighed before gesturing his guards to leave the room. He stared at me and I got the hint that he wanted me to leave as well.
As I was leaving, Ethon stopped me. "I want you to release Sam. Her mother too. Why have you captured humans? You took the planet so why not share it?" He asked his father. His father groaned and said words that I did not want to hear. "These humans probably won't make it when the air is changed, might as well keep some as our servants or slaves in the rooms with their pure air. They do not need to be in the drugged air." I gasped and looked at Ethon, who looked like he would break something. "Why change the air, father? Why should you be so selfish?" He said, angrily. His father laughed and grinned. "Its what our kind does. I have a special place for your female over there anyways. She will make a good addition." He said looking at me. I took in a deep breath and gulped. He had something in plan for me, I won't be released or free. What about my mother? "Let me and my mother go. We don't belong to you." I said in a weak voice.
"No."
