*Brietta's P.O.V.*

It's been four months since Charlie left the hospital and they hadn't found who shot him yet.

I was spending the night at Charlie's house tonight, because my parents were going on a business trip. I had my bags packed and was walking to his house. It was about six thirty when I got there, I took my stuff up to his room then went and sat on the coach with Charlie. We sat there snuggling for hours just watching movies. At the moment we were watching 'Furious 7', it was really good, but I bawled my eyes out in the end. There was a dedication in the end for the actor who had died, it was sweet, but so heartbreaking at the same time.

"Awe babe don't cry, here let me go get you some tissues." Charlie got up and grabbed the box of tissues and handed them to me.

"Thanks Charlie, it's just so sad."

"Yeah I know, but hey it's getting late, we should probably go to bed."

I looked at my watch, it said it was 1:27 am.

"Yeah we probably should, now help the cry baby up." I said reaching for his hands. He pulled me up and walked with me up the stairs. I grabbed some night clothes and went to the bathroom to change. When I got back Charlie was already in bed and out cold.

It was funny how fast that boy could fall asleep.

I crawled in bed and began to slowly drift off to sleep. I was almost asleep when my phone rang. I reached over and picked it up and saw that it was the local hospital calling me. I quickly answered it.

"Hello, is this Brietta Jones?"

"Yes, what's going on?"

"Your parents were involved in a head on collision and are in surgery. They had your number as an emergency contact."

"Oh my God! I'll be down there soon!" I hung up the phone and grabbed a pair of socks and quickly put my shoes on. I violently shook Charlie to wake him up.

"What? What's wrong Bri?" Charlie said all groggy.

"Charlie you gotta get up! It's my parents! They were in a wreck! We gotta go to the hospital! Now!" Right then Charlie's mom came bursting into the room with her phone in hand.

"Brietta! We gotta go, it's your parents!"

"I know! Let's just me and you go! Charlie's to tired!"

"Alright! Let's go!" Charlie's mom and I raced down the stairs. She grabbed the car keys and we were out the door before you could say "Oh my God!"

We practically sped the whole way there, frankly I'm surprised we didn't get pulled over. When we got there we quickly raced to the OR waiting room.

We sat there for what seemed like an eternity when the doctor came.

"Are you Brietta?"

"Yes. How are my parents?"

"Well I'm sorry to say that your father passed away before he got here. Your mother on the other hand got here just in time, we rushed her into surgery and now she's in critical condition but still alive. You can go see her now if you'd like?"

"Yes, please."

"Alright, right this way please."

The doctor took us to my mom's room, she was still asleep when we got there. I went and sat by her bed and held her hand. Charlie's mom then told me that she was going to go get Charlie and that she'd be back soon.

It only took about ten minutes, but it felt like forever. When Charlie got there he came up behind me and just hugged me.

I soon fell asleep holding my mom's hand. Only to wake up to Charlie screaming.

"No! You can't do this! Not to her! She just lost her father! She doesn't need to lose you too!" Before I could even ask Charlie what he was talking about a flood of nurses and doctors came into the room. Then they shoveed us both out of the romm and locked the door.

"Charlie? What were you talking about? Who were you talking to?"

"Brietta, please."Charlie said beginning to cry.

"Tell me who you were taking to! Was it my mom?" I ask begining to cry myself.

"Yes."

"No! No your lying! She's not dead! Not her too!" I said falling to my knees. Then the doctor came out. He just looked at me and I knew, Charlie was telling the truth, he had been talking to my mom. I jumped up and raced down the hallway. And took the stairs down and ran straight out the front doors. I could hear Charlie yelling for me but I didn't care, I just kept running. I wasn't paying attention to where I was going, and I quickly regretted it. For a split second all I saw was an extremely bright light, then nothing.
