~Two of A Kind~

~Chapter 1~

[Heylo and Hailey have known each other for a very long time. Heylo, a black lab dog was very wise and brave. And Hailey, a husky was very naive and quirky. They were now older now, they protected their owner's children.]

Heylo: Aren't you glad we get to have children, Hailey?

Hailey: They're more like little brats to me.

Heylo: Just because you are younger than me and more immature, doesn't mean you get to be a punk.

Hailey did horrible things, she tried to bite the kid's faces off, she even bit them both on their tiny hands. Heylo protected 'her children' from her. Heylo immediately stopped Hailey when she had tried to attack the children again.

Heylo: What do yo think you're doing?! Why are you doing this?!

Hailey: I...I don't know anymore...

Heylo got out of her defensive position, and walked towards the husky.

Heylo: Hailey, there has got to be a reason why you are doing this. What's wrong?

Hailey: When those kids came near me, I saw them as a threat. I knew they didn't mean any harm, but I thought I needed to protect myself.

Heylo: How can a child be a threat?! You're a physco, Hailey.

The old, chubby, black lab dog walked away from the husky, leaving her alone. Hailey sadly looked down at the ground, she felt guilty of what she had done.

1 year later...

One day Heylo and Hailey's owners put ant traps around their house to prevent ants. Hailey was awake early, Heylo and the kids were still asleep. Hailey was curious about those traps, she went near one. She smelled it, It smells like...sugar? Hailey thought. Saliva ran down her mouth. Hailey stepped closer to it. She then...ate it! Hailey trotted away after having her so called, 'meal.' When she layed down on her dog bed, her stomach felt like fire. She immediately coughed up the ant trap. Heylo and their owners must've heard her. The owners both cleaned up the mess.

Heylo: What on earth did you eat?

Hailey: Ant trap. Hehe.

Heylo: Seriously?

Hailey: It's not my fault, it smelled like sugar.

Heylo laughed, shaking her head. She didn't blame Hailey. She was only nine in dog years and Heylo was one year older than her in dog years. Hailey was still very naive. But she can be nice in her ways.
