I wake up surprised that I slept at all. Last time I checked my clock it was 3:00am now its 6:00am, does three hours of sleep even count as sleep cause im pretty sure it falls under the nap category.I get out of bed and walk to my private bathroom, I take a shower in steaming hot water, I still have a bit of soot on my arms and neck from the duel with Trent yesterday.

When I get out of the shower the mirror is foggy so I wipe a streak across it to clear a view of my face, My silver eyes are staring back at me. My unique eye color is caused by my abilities as far as I know I'm the only warrior gened person with eyes like this even weirder is the fact that my eyes change color when ever I'm using someone else's powers they change to the color of the person's energy. That's how my power works, every warrior gened person has their own energy that radiates off of them, and everyone's energy is a different color and it moves around them in a different way. I can see these energies and as far as I know I'm the only one who can. I don't really know how I can tell what power belongs to what energy I just do. Even weirder is the fact that my energy is clear almost invisible if it wasn't for the fact that it looks distorted I would think that I didn't have an energy at all.  I'm also able to turn the ability to see people's energy on and off so that way I'm not constantly seeing everyone's energy. The way I can use someone's power is actually really cool, I can will a person's energy to merge with mine temporarily causing my energy to take on the qualities of there's it has no affect on the other person in fact if they don't see me using their powers they wouldn't even now that I was using it.

After I dry myself and I get dressed I head down stairs for breakfast. "Good morning" I say to my mom as she takes a sip of her freshly brewed coffee. "Good morning sweetie" she says back to me. "Your dad had to go to HQ this morning but he will be at the ceremony today" she tells me as I pour myself a cup of coffee the smell fills my nostrils with the bitter aroma that is satisfying to say the least. After a few minutes of eating my breakfast Everett walks into the kitchen.  "Good morning honey" my mom says with a big smile, "morning" he says groggily he's never been much of an morning person. "Hey" I say more to acknowledge the fact that he's here than an actual greeting and in turn he sends me a scowl that's full of hate. He sits down and pours himself a large bowl of cereal the kind little kids eat the kind thats full of sugar and has a silly character on the front of it, the fact that he stomachs that stuff makes me chuckle. I finish my coffee and muffin and head for school but before I leave I give my mom a kiss on the head "I'll see you at the ceremony ok" she nods with a smile.

When I arrive on campus there are already a few people here some are talking in small groups or sitting alone reading a book there's also some guy sleeping in the grass I can't help but think to myself how odd it is for someone to fall asleep in public, someone that careless could only be trouble. He does look peaceful though his messy blond hair waving in the gentle breeze under the shade of the courtyard trees. I walk away and start to look for one of my friends I finally find Alec sitting at the fountain reading a book his jet black shaggy hair and the lines that look like a cross between a tattoo and a scar entangle them selves like vines on his neck and arms, it's unmistakably him. "Whats up Alec?" I ask. He lifts up his finger to stop me from interrupting  his book again, after a half minute he lowers his finger and closes the book.

"Hey Eston, how have you been?"

"I've been good I just have a lot of anxiety."

"Yeah me too I think everyone has been freaking out about team assignments."

"Well I hope you and I get put in a team together."

"Is that because I'm one of the few people who won't freak out when you copy my powers."

"Yeah, it's not cause ur my friend or anything." I say sarcastically and I start to laugh but he just smiles.

We sit outside talking about who we think would make a good team or who would totally bud heads if they were to be in the same team. We also talk about who we think will be a signed as leaders. After about ten minutes we realize that the school is almost full but not only with students but parents as well. Then I see my mom talking to my friend Kaitly and her mother so Alec and I walk over to them and I put my arm around my mom

"Be careful with this one mom she's bad news." I say smirking at Kaitly

"Oh shut up you idiot." She says playfully

We have known each other since dippers on account of our dads being team mate's so we bicker like brother and sister.

"Hi Catherine" I say to her mom.

"Hello Eston, hello Alec" she says back.

"Hi" Alec says timidly.

"So I see you didn't have the decency to wash the dye out of your hair before the ceremony." I say to Kaitly accusingly.

"My hair is naturally purple and you know it." She says annoyed by my comment.

It's true though her puple hair and eyes, my silver eyes and Alec's lines on his body are all natural we were all born with these unique traits, some warrior gened people are born with odd features like us but then there are those who are like Everett who don't have any difference in appearance from a pure blood.

We stand there for a while talking, then we hear a woman speaking over the Telecom. "Will all students please meet in the auditorium for orientation. Visitors should stay in either the gymnasium or the courtyard. I give my mom a hug and start to head for the auditorium with Alac and Kaitly but then I turn around to look at my mom. "Mom where's dad?" I ask quickly.  "He'll be here don't worry." She says. I give a thumbs up and then I walk into the school.
