You are seated on one of the balconies in an arena. On the stage stands One Direction, out of which one member is your former boyfriend. It was Harry himself who gave you the ticket, and since you always have enjoyed their music you decided to go. Your now being boyfriend was busy, and didn't like that kind of music anyway, so you went on your own.

You saw it as a nice gesture, nothing else. That was until Liam exclaims that Harry wants to perform a song on his own, and that the boys are leaving the stage to change during that time. The whole crowd cheers, and Niall, Louis, Liam and Zayn thunder down the backstage stairs.

The band starts playing as Harry brings his microphone to his mouth. On the screens are his eyes shiny, as he sings the first words.

"He could be a sinner, or a gentleman

he could be a preacher when your soul is damned

he could be a lawyer on a witness stand

but he'll never love you like I can, can"

He stares right out in the air, up against the back walls, like he is singing to someone not in the arena. But you can tell he is directing it to you.

Your breakup wasn't the easiest, but it seemed like he was okey with it. When you met your new boyfriend he was polite against him, showed no signs of bitterness or regret. He seemed like he too had moved on, not that he was dating anyone, but he was out and about as usual, being seen leaving clubs and shops all over town. Apparently, he didn't repair like you thought.

"Why are you looking down all the wrong roads?

When mine is the heart and the salt of the soul

there may be lovers who hold out their hands, but

they'll never love you like I can, can, can

they'll never love you like I can, can"

His voice is deep and loud, sending the sound to bounce off all the walls, a roundgoing sound that hits you more then once. You are in trance, unable to do anything but stare at the screens.

"A chance encounter of circumstance

Maybe he's a mantra keeps your mind entranced

He could be the silence in this mayhem, but then again

He'll never love you like I can, can, can

Why are you looking down all the wrong roads?

When mine is the heart and salt of the soul

There may be lovers who hold out their hands

But they'll never love you likeI can, can, can

They'll never lobe you like I can, can, can

They'll never love you like I can

We both have demons, that we can't stand

I love your demons, like devils can

If you're self-seeking an honest man

Then stop deceiving

Lord, please"

Harry pulls down the microphone from his mouth, letting the pause linger longer then he should. Then he mouths "Y/n" before lifting the microphone again. The crowd goes wild, as he continues, with more power now then before.

"Why are you looking down all the wrong roads?

When mine is the heart and the salt of the soul

There may be lover who hold out their hands

But they'll never love you like I can, can, can

They'll never love you like I can, can, can

He'll never love you like I can, can, can"

Harry disappears of stage, and you get up from your seat, running out the exit, leaving the arena with a spinning head and Harry's voice stuck with you, singing the last sentence.
