"Victoria, I know you're tired right now but I need you to give Satan his work he missed for today." He said as he walked into the house with her. "Why wasn't he at RAD in the first place? Did he get in a fight with someone again or something?" She asked, fighting a yawn. "Something like that.." Lucifer said. Victoria hopped off his back and took her backpack from Lucifer then went to Satan's room.
Victoria gently knocked on the door and opened it immediately. "You know what's the point of knocking if you're not going to let me tell you to come in or not?" Satan asked sarcastically. Huffing, Victoria set the worksheets down on his messy desk. "Your room is messy." Victoria said, trying not to step on any books as she awkwardly shuffled over to his bed. She climbed over him and sat next to him, hugging her knees to her chest and resting her chin on them while looking at a visibly upset Satan. "Tell me what's wrong Satan." She urged. "It's nothing Victoria, nothing's wrong." He lied. "Satan...sometimes feelings and expressions are laid down so hard that even I can read them." Victoria said. Satan looked at her, his face remaining the same. "-I guess I was wrong... I'll leave you alone." She said in a bored tone and shrugged.
She went to get off the bed but Satan reached and grabbed her arm. "Wait, stay here, I'll talk." Satan was looking for someone to actually listen to him, and who's better at lending an ear without their sins getting in the way like Victoria? She was always good at listening to peoples rants no matter how long they were, she even sits through Levi's long ass titles and anime explanations with no trouble. She might not understand a single clue of what you're talking about when it comes to the reasons of your feelings but she will listen anyway.
"The thing is, yesterday... while everyone was asleep, I went to get some water from downstairs and I just so happened to walk the opposite of the path of the kitchen and end up at Lucifer's door. I didn't do it on purpose obviously, but I guess I was sleepwalking, anyway I see Anna come from around the corner so I hid, then she knocked and opened the door and started questioning Lucifer on how he was up early. They went back and forth for a while but she grabbed his quill when I went to take a peek inside the room, then h-he started crying and I-I felt bad for some reason, but I hate him and I didn't understand what was going on a-and I'm supposed to hate him! I made it my life's purpose to make sure I felt nothing for him and now I do. But-But I don't w-want-"
Satan rambled on but starting babbling incoherent sentences because he was choking on his own tears. Victoria remembered what Lucifer told her to do when she sees someone she knows and they're crying, she wrapped her arm around his shoulder and rested her head on it, still listening to him crying. He stopped talking all together because even he couldn't understand what he was trying to say anymore and put his face in his hands and cried. Victoria let him while she looked at his room, books scattered everywhere, the floor, the shelves, the desks, everything. She spotted a book that was all too familiar to her, it was a novel based on the indie horror game Five Nights At Freddy's. It was written by the creator of the game, she reminisced back when the books first came out, and since Satan's birthday was coming up in 2 months at that time, Leviathan decided to purchase some books about it to give to him, since he couldn't think of anything else he could give him. (Ok I know the books didn't come out right when Scott first published the game but for the story's sake please go with it) When Satan got the books he was thrilled to have a new read, so he would read them to himself and Victoria, since she liked the game that she played (and still plays) with Levi all the time.
Victoria smiled and reached for the book, that wasn't too far, and turned on the lamp that was conveniently right next to it. She set the book right in between her and Satan and slowly took his hands away from his face. Satan looked puzzled at first but smiled a bit when he realized what she was doing. She went to the page they left off and began reading to him. She wasn't as good of an out loud reader as Satan was, but she was still okay. She didn't want to ask Satan to read because he had so much on his mind and she also didn't want to ask him what the feelings expressed in it meant, she knew it wasn't the right time. After maybe 1 hour of reading they finished the entire book. Victoria released Satan from the side hug that they shared the entire time that they read and stood up. "Uh, bye." Victoria stated blankly and abruptly walked out the door. "Bye..." Satan muttered under his breath.
