Derek spends the rest of the car ride back to the loft glaring at Stiles, his eyebrows furrowing as usual, but how was he to know that the brooding werewolf wasn't keen on the idea of going to a high school party. Stiles ignores his glare and chuckles at the memory as it flashes in his mind:
"Stiles! Why the hell are we here?" Derek growls out at Stiles.
He laughs while slapping the Alpha on the back. "To party you sourwolf! Come on, this is something we both need!"
Derek lets out a low warning growl at the teenager who's hand is still on his back. Stiles gives him a sheepish smile and removes his hand, walking away from Derek to get some drinks for the two. Stiles knew Derek would just complain the whole night so it doesn't come as a surprise that the man is sulking in the corner of the packed tight living room. On his way back with two beer filled solo cups he notices a fellow classmate giving him a small smile. Stiles takes in the young girls appearance, long dark brown hair, beautiful green eyes, and a slender frame. He can't help but blush a little at the girl noticing him from across the room and he quickly makes his way back to Derek.
Derek looks at Stiles' flushed cheeks and raises his eyebrows. "What happened to you?"
Stiles grumbles out, "Nothing."
The wolf sees that Stiles keeps looking across the room and decides to look for what he's staring at. He sees a young girl, probably around the same age as Stiles, staring shamelessly at the flustered teen. Derek pushes down the growl wanting to emit from his chest with a slight grimace. He knows his wolf has become attached to the spastic teen but he had hoped it was because Derek took over the pack. Sadly however it is becoming alarmingly clear that it's because the boy has become an object of not only his affection but his wolf's as well.
Derek glances down and sees that Stiles is leaning against the wall with his arms across his chest. He can't help but let a small smile slip as he notices the boy trying to look anywhere but in the direction of the girl.
As much as Derek doesn't want Stiles to be with someone else, especially someone outside of the pack, he leans down to him while grunting out, "Why don't you just ask her to dance?"
Stiles nearly jumps ten feet in the air and gives Derek a glare. "Because she's obviously drunk if she thinks I'm attractive."
Derek can't help but feel slightly annoyed at just how little Stiles thinks of himself. "Just go or I'm going to throw you across the room to her."
Stiles glares up at the glowering wolf but sighs in defeat and begins to drag himself over to the other side of the room. His shoulder slags as he gets closer to the female, who has now noticed Stiles' approach, and smiles half-heartedly at her.
She stretches her hand out. "I'm Emily, we have history together."
Stiles blushes but takes her hand. "Stiles."
She smiles at laughs a little. "Oh, I know."
He then looks back at Derek to see him scowling in the corner as he eyes them both. He turns back to Emily with their hands still clasped. "Would you wanna dance?"
She smiles while nodding. "Yeah, I would."
He then gives her a confused stare before stating, "I meant with me."
She giggles and pulls Stiles onto the dancefloor, moving their bodies closer together. "It's still a yes."
Stiles tries to focus on the music and the smells around the room and not the very attractive girl rubbing against his body. Why do males have to have such raging hormones, Stiles groans internally. Emily turns and faces away from Stile while still rubbing their bodies together and he can't help the gasp that leaves his lips at the sudden action. His eyes roll briefly into the back of his head and he tries to find something to take his mind off of the girl grinding against him.
