Stiles' POV

After spending the last two hours with Scott on the hiking trail we finally make it back to the house and I notice that everyone is gathered in the living room. Scott pats my back and leaves to go over to where Kira is and I smile at his lovestruck expression as he meets her on the couch. I notice that everyone seems to be not-so-discreetly staring at me every now and then. I ignore it for the better and make my way to the kitchen, prepping dinner for the starving wolves. After about an hour of cooking I finally finish and yell for Isaac and Jackson to set the table. They both grumble and complain until a quick growl from Scott shuts them up.

"Thank you, Scotty!" I yell out while laughing.

He chuckles out, " You're welcome, handsome!"

As I enter the dining room with some of the food I order the boys to go carry the rest and they do so this time without complaining. They return and place the food onto the table and soon the pack is settled in. I notice that Scott is at one end of the table with Kira to his left but I quickly notice that Derek isn't anywhere to be seen.

I stand up while asking, "Where's Derek?"

They all look around then back at me while Scott speaks up, "I'll go look for him."

I start to argue with him but he cuts me off, "It's dark out and there might be bears in the wood, Stiles. Don't even try to argue into this one, you'll lose."

I groan but sit back down and eat my food. The rest of the pack starts eating right after and I can't help but feel myself growing slightly more worried for Derek and Scott both. Why isn't the brooding Alpha here? Did something happen earlier when he ran off? What if seeing my body made him feel like I'm too weak to be in the pack and now he doesn't want to be near me so he can avoid having to throw me out of the pack. I can feel a pair of eyes on me so I look up to see Lydia smirking at me. I give her some knitted brows in return which makes her giggle quietly, which in turn makes Malia giggle as well, then I hear the guys chuckling to themselves.

"Okay, that's it. What's so funny?" I slam my fork down onto the table.

Malia clears her throat while putting on a serious face. "You kept mumbling Derek's name to yourself."

I look at all them with shock then quickly mask my expression to seem annoyed. "No, I wasn't."

Lydia giggles again as Jackson nods. "Uh yeah dude, you were."

I roll my eyes but can't help the blush blossoming over my cheeks. "Whatever."

I ignore hearing Peter grumble from next to Malia. "Thank god he's not giving me grandchildren."

The rest of the dinner goes by smoothly and I order the boys to do the dishes up while the girls and I make our way to the living room. Lydia mentions something about playing monopoly which peaks Malia's interest, not knowing what the game is. After we explain the rules we begin playing, well after Lydia and I argue who the cat is, then halfway through the game we hear the front door open. We all look up to see Derek and Scott enter the house with mud and blood all over their clothes, making me stumble to my feet and immediately run over to them.

"What the hell happened to you two?" I screech out.

Derek quickly looks away while Scott hugs me to him. "Don't worry about it, everything's fine buddy."

I just stand there and eventually hug him back while glancing at Derek with questioning eyes. He just nods, telling me everything is fine, then I release Scott with a sigh. "Are you two going to kill each other during this trip?"

Scott growls out, "The thought is passing my mind with every second, but no."

I give Derek a look and he looks away again. "No."

Satisfied, I turn around to see the girls smiling widely at the scene before them and the boys are leaning into the living room with soap covered shirts. I glare at both groups and shoo them away.

I yell into the kitchen at the boys. "Don't get water all over the floor or I'll skin both of you!"

I can hear them shuffling around then see them walking back out of the kitchen with their wet shirts in hand, tossing them into the laundry room. I try to mask the scent of arousal I know I'm producing, but judging by the looks of the wolves around me I realize it's way too late. Isaac blushes while covering his chest but Jackson only smirks at me causing me to blush as well.

They both go back into the kitchen and I turn to see both Scott and Derek glaring at me. "What? Their attractive!"

Derek growls lowly and leaves to go into the kitchen while Scott shakes his head. "Stiles, I love you, but you really are more clueless than I am and that's saying something."

*****************************************

After the kitchen is cleaned up and both brooding Alphas have eaten I make my way upstairs for some well-needed rest. Opening the door I see mine and Isaac's beds pushed apart, making me feel slightly sad that he doesn't want to cuddle anymore. I walk to my bed but stop when I notice Isaac stepping into the room with me, a guilty look on his face as he looks at the beds.

"You could've just told me that you didn't like the idea anymore," I grumble out, not bothering to mask my sadness.

He grimaces and then sighs out, "I do want to cuddle, trust me. This past week- it's helped with the nightmares."

I turn to him slightly confused. "Then why push our beds apart?"

He looks away and says softly, "That was Derek."

I get closer to him and make sure I heard him right. "Excuse me?"

He sighs before saying louder, "Derek. That was Derek's doing."

I glare in the direction of the hallway and immediately shut the door, harder than necessary and turn to Isaac. "Help me put these beds back together."

He looks like he's going to protest but I stop him. "No Isaac. Trust me when I say that Derek has no say in this and he will not be hurting you or me for sleeping next to each other because if he does I'll happily lock him in a circle of mountain ash for the rest of the vacation."

Isaac slowly smiles before nodding. "Alright, I got this."

I watch as he works to quietly move the beds together and I can't help but chuckle. I know he's trying to be as quiet as possible so that Derek doesn't hear him, but like I said, Derek won't touch him with me around. He may be an Alpha but I'm an Emissary and from what I've learned from Deaton, I'm nearly as powerful as the wolves, but only when it comes to magic.

After Isaac finishes pushing the beds together I turn the light off and make my way to the left side of the bed, discarding my shirt and pants on the floor, leaving me in boxers. I tuck myself under the cover and quickly notice that Isaac is only wearing sweatpants as he scoots himself closer to me. I sigh in content as we lay in each others arms, it feels good knowing our friendship has grown to being this close with one another. I don't feel anything weird as we cuddle, only because I've cuddled like this many times with Scott and I know they don't find it romantic either. The wolves just really like affection and prefer to sleep in pairs or in a puppy pile. It's the wolf inside them that craves to be close to another packmate, whether its through touch or scent, and I have to admit that deep down I feel that pull sometimes too. I believe the only ones in the pack that I don't cuddle up with are Jackson, Derek, and Peter. Well not Malia anymore either, but maybe once all the awkwardness is gone we will, but I don't see that happening for awhile. I mean we had sex together for God's sake. Peter is just way too creepy to be around like that and Jackson might peel my skin off if I hold him. Derek on the other hand will literally rip my throat out with his teeth if I were to try and cuddle him, he's said so himself. Great, now I'm thinking about Derek's mouth on my neck.

"Stiles," Isaac mumbles into my neck, "Please tell me you're thinking about someone other than me with that boner."

I let out a groan and smack his back, earning a chuckle from him. "Shut up and sleep."
