Aaliyah povMy mom believed it was best for me to go to therapy which i didn't understand, she gave me little time to grieve.
I understand her disappointment in me but i'm hurting too, I needed my mother more than i needed a random woman to tell me i'm not right in the head at the moment.
"And how does that make you feel?" She asked causing me to roll my eyes, to me it seemed as if she just wanted to fill time.
"You keep asking the same questions, i'm not feeling any different." I shook my head. "Well lets talk about your home life." She said cheerfully.
"How does your home environment make you feel?" She said causing me to nod, this seemed like something easy to talk about.
"My parents are fairly normal, they want the best for me, I have a soon to be adopted sister, Angel." I said and she nodded.
"Tell me about Angel, does she fill that sibling role for you?" She asked and i took the question in before responding.
"in a way, sometimes i just feel bad for her, she has no one for real, i try to be as close to a sister to her as i could." I said and she nodded with a remorseful look."Do you get jealous when you see your parents talking or speaking to Angel?" She asked writing something down. "Not really." I said and she nodded before saying "that's great."
Soon after that we ended the meeting since she felt like she could make no more progress today.
Leon waited for me outside as i walked out i saw him frantically hang up his phone and i just shook my head.
"Are you better now?" he asked me and i just mugged him. "Your a real asshole." I said going to get out but he locked the door.
"Leon i'm not in the mood." I grabbed my forehead with my back turned towards him. "Fine i quit." He said rubbing my lower back. "Just take me home." I said removing his hand from my back.
"whatever you want mama." He said sending a chill through my body.
After the miscarriage my body had been all over the place, I felt like I lost a piece of me when I lost that baby.
Me and Leon stayed silent taking the short drive back.
omniscient- Amaris house
"What you trynna get into?" Amaris childhood best friend said sneaking up on him.
Lani had liked Amari since they were young, she would never admit since she felt like Mari was out of her league.
"I might go see Angel right quick." He said and Lani honestly felt her heart sink. "You never want to chill with me."
Amari always denied the thought of Lani having feelings for him, he didn't want to lose her but he felt absolutely nothing for her.
"I just chilled with you the last 3 hours." Amari said slipping on his slides and leaving the room for his keys.
"What the fuck is 3 hours." Lani said irritated. She didn't understand how this random girl could get him and she couldn't.
"Lani, i'm not doing this with you." He said walking out the door as she followed him to his car getting inside of it.
"You od, ima see if she cool with you coming." He said now getting irritated aswell.
After calling Angel and confirming that she was cool with her being there he pulled off.
Arriving Angel welcomed them both especially Lani since she cared somewhat about making a good impression of his childhood best friend.
"Your house is so nice, I know your spoiled." Lani said walking inside of the home.
"not particularly." She said going over to hug Amari.
Lani wanted the hug to be over quick, like hers are with Amari.
But it wasn't, he held onto Angels body loving how her curves felt.
Lani cleared her throat successfully breaking up the hug.
They all got comfortable on the couch. Angel and Amari sitting fairly close to one another.
Lani wanted her best friend happy, but not if he wasn't happy with her.
She never understood not giving their relationship a try.
