--Sydney's POV--
"Shhh, you're going to wake them up!" There was a smacking sound.
"Ow! The fuck was that for, they definitely heard that!" Another voice said.
"Actually I heard all of it now why the bloody hell are any of you in our room?" Niall grumbled, and I laughed a bit.
"Told you," a third voice muttered, and I opened my eyes to see the other four boys standing at the base of our bed.
"Well our original goal was to tell you about the show," Harry explained. "Then Louis started taking pictures." I rolled my eyes a bit.
"Of course he did. Does someone have coffee?" I asked, slowly getting out of bed even as Niall protested. Zayn handed me a mug, and I smiled gratefully at him. "Give me five minutes to wake myself up, then you can start talking." I said, locking myself in the bathroom. I washed my face quickly, brushed my teeth and ran a hand through my hair, then reemerged.
We sat in a comfortable silence for the next couple minutes, but as soon as five minutes had passed, they started talking.
"The crowd was amazing--"
"Everyone wanted to know where you were--"
"Little Things wasn't the same--"
"People thought you were hurt--"
They all started speaking at once, the phrases getting jumbled together in an unrecognized me heap of words and British accents.
"Time out!" Niall said, chuckling. "Harry, go."
"Nothing terribly wrong happened but Little Things wasn't the same without you there and I saw one girl crying because she thought you'd quit and were never coming back," the curly-haired boy said.
"People are so dramatic," Niall said, scoffing. His fingers were tracing a soft pattern on my arm, and I leaned against him. "Liam, go."
"At one point in time a whole section started chanting your name wondering where you were and I felt bad having to explain to them that you weren't coming but when they heard you were with your girl at least a hundred some people shouted 'get some' and I couldn't stop laughing for at least three songs," Liam said, and both Niall and I laughed as well.
"Sorry to disappoint then," he said, still chuckling. "Alright, Louis."
"Well Liam totally stole my story but the crowd was super awesome and supportive once we actually told them a little bit about why you weren't there, nothing too descriptive though, cross my heart, and they all seemed to really like you so that's a bonus," he directed at me, and I just smiled.
"Zayn, go." Niall said, squeezing my hand and smiling.
"Well thanks for taking all the valuable information guys," Zayn said sarcastically. "I was going to tell you about everyone wondering where you were but they've stolen all my stories so yeah." I just laughed.
"But it was a good show?" I asked, a little nervous.
"Definitely. We can have him back for the next one, though, right?" Zayn asked, ruffling Niall's hair.
"Of course. Hopefully I won't be pulling him away from any other concerts in the future," I said, smiling.
"Well, we've got one tonight as well, are you two coming?" Liam asked, and we both nodded.
"Yeah, and I'll probably be staying put this time," I said, referring to my habit of disregarding my side-stage viewing platform.
"How boring," Harry said mockingly, laying horizontally across the bed.
"Yeah but now people know who I am I can't just become another fan to the crowd I'm someone now." I said, shrugging.
"Most people spend their whole lives wanting to be someone," Louis commented, sitting and using Harry's chest as a footrest.
"Yeah I suppose. But some things are better anonymous, y'know? You lose the ability to lose yourself in a crowd when they all know your face," I said.
"Damn, you caught yourself a wise one, Ni, I can't even argue with that," Louis said, shaking his head.
"Let today go down in history, Louis Tomlinson was beaten in a debate!" Liam said dramatically.
"Shut the fuck up, Payne." I laughed brightly. I could just tell that today was going to be a good day.

"Now as you guys know, Niall was unable to attend our concert yesterday," Harry called into the microphone.
"Yes yes very sad but he's here now," Louis cut in, clapping Niall on the shoulder. "And we'd thought it'd be best to introduce you personally to the reason Niall wasn't here. Her name's Sydney, and she's quite shy, so why don't we give her a round of applause to get her up here?" Louis called, and I couldn't believe him for a moment. Niall and Louis ran over to me to help me onstage, a worker tossing me a microphone.
"I didn't know they would do this I'm sorry," Niall mumbled to me.
"It's alright, just remind me o smother Louis in his sleep," I muttered back, and he laughed loudly, Louis looking at me offended.
"I heard that, you know," he said.
"Heard what?" I asked, smiling at him innocently.
"The plot to murder me," he said, crossing his arms.
"What? No I would never murder you, Louis, you're my best friend, no I was talking about murdering someone else," I said, making the crowd laugh a little.
"In that case I want in," he said, and I just laughed.
"Louis you're not allowed to turn my girlfriend into an accomplice to murder," Niall said, chuckling a little.
"I wouldn't be an accomplice! Everyone knows I would be the mastermind," I said with an overdramatic hair flip.
"Excuse you, but no." Louis said, looking at me sassily. I mimicked his pose, raising an eyebrow as well.
"How about you're not allowed to get her arrested," Niall cut in.
"Us? Arrested? As if they could catch us," Louis scoffed.
"Hey! This is a family friendly show no discussing murder in front of like 100,000 people," Harry called from across the stage.
"Besides, too many witnesses," Zayn interjected, laughing.
"I am not affiliated with any of you, I've never heard of you, I mean, who's One Direction? I don't know, I'm not apart of this," Liam said, pretending to walk off stage.
"We should start a reality show," Zayn joked. "'How To Commit Murder with One Direction and Sydney Cress!'"
"This is really a fantastic way to introduce her to the fans, really, whosever idea this was should get a raise," Niall said, his voice dripping sarcasm.
"Better than me just popping up out of nowhere and being like 'hey guys just so you know I'm Niall's girlfriend and you can't get rid of me,'" I said, smirking. He shrugged.
"Fair enough."
