Kiara x Kovu: Love always wins

KIARA!

Kiara's POV

I yawned, ah, the sunshine on my face, along with the warmth of the sun. And also the fresh air of the pride lands.

I looked beside me, Kovu wasn't there. I walked out of the den and ran to the watering hole where I found Kovu.

Kovu smiled when he saw me, "Good morning my dear Kiara."

"Morning Kovu," I replied.

"Why did you come here?"

"Umm, I was looking for you."

"Kiara, it's dangerous to come here on your own, what if I wasn't here?"

"Oh Kovu, you're being too over-protective."

Then Kovu got a serious look on his face and said, "Kiara, it is my duty to protect you and your family."

"Oh sure," I smirked, "Wanna play a game of tag?"

I didn't wait for Kovu to reply, then I said, "Tag, you're it."

I ran around the pride lands when I felt I had escaped from Kovu, I stumbled on a stick and fell on my face.

Kovu caught up to me by a minute,  then he smirked, "Looks like you're still as clumsy as ever."

"Hey, what took you so long to catch up with me?" I laughed.

"Come on let's get back to pride rock, then I can go for my morning duties."

When we got to pride rock Kovu said bye and I went back into the den.

I hadn't realized I had dozed off until I heard a group of animals chatting outside.

I went out and saw the guard with Zuri.

"Hey, guys," I said walking over.

"Hey Kiara, we were just discussing who we're going to go with to the dance," Kion said.

After we told everyone who we were going with, the results were like this:

Kion with Rani

Bunga with Binga

Fuli with Azzad

Beshte with Anaya (She's a hippo I made up)

Ono with Era (Another egret I made up)

Anga with Kashu (A eagle I made up)

Zuri with Zoda (Yes, another lion I made up)

And I was with Kovu.

I said bye to Zuri and the guard, then I ran off to explore.

I didn't really know where to go so I just tried to find Kovu.

Then I saw a log dangling above a river, I could cross that log without getting wet, but it's risky.

Without thinking anymore, I stepped onto the log. And lucky for me, it didn't collapse.

I took a few steps forward and suddenly...

CRACK

The log cracked! I screamed while I fell into the water. I tried to look around for anything I could use to hold onto, but I didn't see anything.

Azzad's POV

I heard a scream from the pride lands and I came running, I spotted Kiara in the river and I shouted, "Don't worry princess, Azzad is here to save you!"

Then I grabbed her paws and pulled her up with all my might.

CRACK

I looked around for the sound but there wasn't anything.

Kiara's POV

A few hours later...

I woke up and I saw Azzad looking at me

"Princess? Princess? Are you alright?" Azzad asked.

"Yes, I'm fine. Thank you for saving me Azzad."

I tried to stand up but something was wrong with my right paw.

"Uh oh, Azzad, I think I broke my wrist."

"Oh no, I must get Kovu immediately!"

Azzad's POV

I ran everywhere in the pride lands and I finally found Kovu.

"Kovu, K-kiara needs your help," I said panting.

"Oh no, what's wrong?"

On the way, I told him what had happened.

Kiara's POV

I saw Kovu and Azzad coming my way, "Kovu!" I shouted.

"Don't worry, I know what happened, now let's get you back to pride rock."

When we were in the den I said, "Kovu tomorrow is Valentine's day and I can't go with you because of my wrist." "Can you find another lioness to replace me?"

"Of course, since that is your request, but remember that I'll still love you no matter what."

"Thank you, Kovu."

"Maybe you could go with Lilla or Starla, or Kiyna," I suggested.

"Woah, hold it there, how about I go get Rafiki then we talk about that."

"Sounds great," I said nuzzling Kovu.

Moments later I saw Rafiki coming in with Kovu.

"Good afternoon Kiara, what seems to be wrong with your wrist?"

"Well, it's a long story."

"I was going to cross a river by a log, but it  cracked, and I fell into the river. Luckily Azzad heard me and came to my rescue. He pulled me up but there was another crack and that was my wrist. Azzad ran to get Kovu and we came back here."

Kovu seemed shocked at the details, I guess Azzad didn't tell him all the details. But Rafiki didn't seem surprised, I think he's used to shocking stories.

Rafiki put some kind of tree oil on my wrist, then tied a leaf to my wrist.

"Kovu, you should let Kiara get some rest, then she will be able to heal quickly."

"Okay," Kovu nodded, "While you have your rest, I'll go ask which lionesses want to come with me on Valentine's day."

"Sure," I yawned. I was feeling tired, so I lay down and fell alseep.

Kovu's POV

I walked behind pride rock and found a couple of lionesses sitting or laying down on the ground near some rocks.

"Hi." I said.

"Oh My Gosh, hi Kovu," All of them said at the same time.

I told them the situation and they were literally  fighting for me, I was like the last piece of meat for the meal.

"Kinya, stop it, he's mine." Lilla said.

"No, he mine!" Rana argued.

"Hey, Kovu, why don't  you choose?" Kinya suggested.

"Alright, I'll choose..." Starla's kind of pretty, almost as pretty as Kiara. No, I can't believe I'm thinking this way, I still love Kiara no matter what. "I'll choose Starla."

The other lionesses frowned and went away, I mean, I feel bad for not choosing them but I could only choose one right?

I walked back to the den with Starla and we found Kiara sleeping in a corner of the den.

"Kiara, Kiara, wake up," I nudged her softly, "look I choose Starla to replace you."

Kiara woke up and smiled, "Hi, Starla, I'm glad Kovu has chosen you to replace me."

"No problem." In her mind, she said, "How could I reject? Kovu is handsome and amazing!"

Kiara's POV 

I hope Starla doesn't really fall in love with Kovu, even worse, what if Kovu falls in love with Starla? I don't think that will happen though, because Kovu said that he will still love me no matter what.
