Kiara x Kovu: Love always wins

The dance

Starla's POV

I was getting ready for the dance. I was so excited! First, I licked my fur, then I practiced my stylish walk. I need it! You know, when Kovu and Kiara get back together at least I can get a mate.

Then I went to the dance spot, Kovu was already there waiting for me.

"You look especially beautiful tonight."

I smiled, "Well, the whole purpose was to make you notice!"

"And I did notice." Kovu smiled.

"Well, what shall we do first?" I asked.

"We could start dancing if you like," Kovu suggested, "Or maybe go over to the water hole for a drink."

"Those are great ideas, but what I want to do now, is to talk."

"Of course we can do that."

So we went to a spot near the edge of the water hole and we talked.

"Kovu, how did Simba allow you into the Pridelands?"

"Technically, Simba didn't allow me into the Pridelands

"Wait- WHAT?" I yelled, shocked. Did this mean that Kovu was really evil? No, "evil" was a strong word, maybe "he did many wrong things" would be better.

"I thought you were un-exiled!"

"No, it was Kiara who helped me stay here." He said.

All of a sudden, I felt guilty, Kovu should have been here tonight with Kiara, not me!

"Oh, um, so," I said, trying to change the subject, "do you really love Kiara?"

"Of course I do! She is a sweet, incredible lioness" Then he added with a dreamy look in his eyes, "She loves me the same way"

"Obviously," I thought.

"At least there's a replacement if she can't be there," I said.

"Yeah, I guess I could always find a random pretty lioness" He replied.

"A random pretty lioness?!" I thought "He's supposed to mean me, right?"

"Like me," I said

"Yes, you are very pretty," His dark green eyes started into mine.

"I'll guarantee that you'll find a superb mate" He said.

"Thanks, Kovu" I said, mildly blushing.

"You're amazing"
