Extra long chapter lets go
Sherlock's P.O.V
John and I were going out to the bar to see some girl perform. I hadn't been to any bars near school, as my mother always told me to stay away from them. But after a long conversation with my parents, my brother and I, Mycroft and I finally convinced both of them that John and I could go.
John had done the opposite of 'cleaning up' his look that night, and it was a fantastic look on him.
Although, if I'm being honest, anything looks fantastic on him.
He had his favourite pair of torn-up black jeans, with rips reaching from the middle of his thighs to just above his ankles. Underneath them, he had wide fishnet tights. He had dug around in his wardrobe for about 10 minutes looking for shoes, and he settled on a pair of bright red Converse, although they weren't so bright anymore. His hair was as it usually was, swept over his eye. He wasn't wearing any makeup, which was a first in a while. He had a big, black hoodie that his sister Harry had given him. It had the American Idiot logo – the hand holding the heart grenade – on it, and it reached to the middle of his thighs. The sleeves hung over his hands, but he didn't seem to mind. He had on his usual black, studded choker. He looked adorable and sexy at the same time. It was almost effortless.
"You ready to head, Sher?" John asked, slinging his satchel over his head to rest on his shoulder.
"Sorry, what?" That question sent my mind directly into the deepest parts of the gutter. "Oh. Yes. I'm ready to go."

We walked to the bar, chatting about ideas for the band on the way over.
"I reckon it'd be great to have a girl." John said, stuffing his hands in his jumper pockets.
"What are your exact reasons for that conclusion?"
"What are you, a fucking dictionary?" He laughed.
"Yes."
"Alright. Well, she's a singer, and there's a tonne of songs that Greg and I can't sing cause they're meant for a more female voice. It'd be great to have diversity in the band. One of the best emo bands of all time has a lead girl."
"Which is?"
"Paramore."
I nodded. "Fair point."
"And it'd be nice to have someone new around. Also, someone to break up all that testosterone."
"Oh, shut up!" I grumbled. I couldn't keep the smile off my face. I liked being with John. He made me happy. I only hoped that I could make him happy, too.
"We're here." He said after a few minutes, breaking the silence. We walked up to the bouncer, showed our IDs, and made our way inside.
There were quite a lot of people inside, but not as many as I thought. And they weren't as rowdy as I expected, either. It was actually quite nice, and a relatively enjoyable environment.

After only a few drinks, John was tipsy. Both of us are lightweights, but I opted to have non-alcoholic Sherly Temples. Not because I'm gay, as John joked. Because I knew he'd get drunk and I wanted to make sure one of us was sober so that we could get back to the dorm in one piece.
And, maybe I like Sherly Temples.
The lights suddenly dimmed whilst John was in the middle of telling me about the My Chemical Romance concert he was seeing in the coming months.
"That'll be the girl." He whispered, practically bouncing with excitement.
He was so adorable when he was excited.
