Jordan gets introduced in this chapter :D

Angst warning I guess

CW: Transphobia and Homophobia

By the way, I kinda don't want to specify Jordan's birth sex. I don't think I need to specify a genderfluid character's birth sex because I don't think it's necessary. You can make your assumptions about what you think they were born as, and I know what they were born as, but I'm not going to specify.

3rd Person P.O.V

Greg and Mycroft were out on a date. Greg had dragged his boyfriend to a park near the school, and they were now laying next to each other on a grassy hill. It was about 6:30pm, and the sun was setting. They were talking about nothing in particular, and they were holding hands.

"My mum called this afternoon." Greg mumbled, breaking a short silence that had broken out between them. His voice was shaky, letting Mycroft know that the call didn't end well.

"What happened, sweetheart?" Mycroft moved closer to his partner, wrapping his arm around his shoulder.

"She yelled at me. She screamed about my grades and accused me of failing my courses. I didn't say a word. She... uh..." His voice broke and he swallowed. "She found out about you..." Mycroft pulled Greg into his chest and let him cry for a moment. Greg pulled back after a second and took a deep breath. "She threatened to tell your parents- I'm so sorry, babe. She's going to- you know she will!" Greg wasn't shouting, but he wanted to. He just couldn't find the energy or the breath.

Mycroft lifted Greg's chin up and kissed his boyfriend on the tip of his nose. Greg usually smiled at this kind of affection, but he just bowed his head and scrunched his face up.

"Sweetie, look at me please." Mycroft whispered. Greg looked up and Mycroft could see tears brimming his eyes. "You need to tell me what happened. I can't help you if I don't know what's going on."

After a few moments, Greg cleared his throat. "She... she said some really horrible things about gay people. The usual stuff that both her and dad always ramble on about. Then, she told me that she'd seen us together last week. We were walking to your parent's house, and she was driving past. She stopped at the lights near the school and saw us together. We must have been holding hands or something, I dunno. She started saying awful things about you and so I hung up. She's going to tell your parents. I'm... I'm so sorry."

Mycroft pulled Greg in for a tight hug. "Gregory, this is not your fault. You and I haven't done anything wrong and we will be fine." Mycroft pulled back and looked into Greg's face. "I love you, and I won't let anyone take you away from me. Not my parents, not your parents, not anyone." Mycroft placed soft kisses all over Greg's face in an effort to calm him down. "I love you. I love you so, so much. You are the sweetest and most understanding person I have ever met. You deserve so much more than the world has thrown at you."

Greg started to properly cry, and Mycroft gently ran his bands up and down Greg's sides. Mycroft whispered quiet words of praise to help make his partner feel better.

"I love you, Mikey." Greg whispered.

"And I love you, sweetheart. We'll get through this together."

"I just wish I was enough for my mum." He took a deep breath and rolled onto his back. Mycroft followed suit and took Greg's hand in his own. "That I would be good... even if I did nothing..."

"That I would be good..." Greg looked over at his boyfriend. "Even if I got the thumb's down..."

"That I would be good. Even if I got resentful." Greg almost never talked back to his mum, particularly when her homophobia was the subject of the conversation.
