AN: Hey it's me Grey and I just wanted to say you look fine today, as fine as a freshly baked soufflé<3

ok wtf was that...

yea so the timing of the updates have been fucked up lately- like its almost a month since the last update... deal with it, I got too much shit goin on (jk sorry we'll keep trying our best to update)

Alex "helped" me get back on my feet and made me sit down on my bed. "Well how did the chair fall??? Were you playing with it Max?" my mom asked, ready to tell me off once again. But Alex intervened and said "Actually ma'am, I was rocking the chair back and forth then it lost balance and Max's foot was just in the way."

'Okay if she buys this, I've been raised by a moron' "Oh is that so? Well I'm glad you're both okay" she said. 'Holy shit she bought it. My whole life is a lie'.

Alex turns to me then smiles and says "Sorry bout' that, guess I should be more careful next time." 'YOU MOTHERFU-' "Aw I'm glad you have such a good friend Max, now you two should hurry up with your work. Your father's about to come home and I'm almost finished making dinner so chop chop!"

She proceeds to close the door and go back downstairs, leaving me with my jaw wide open. "Your mom's really nice, too bad she's an idiot" Alex snickers. "At least she's not as dumb as you" I mutter "What was that hot shot? You really seem to like being beat up, you're a masochist aren't ya?"

I couldn't take it anymore. I wanted to tie him upside down, burn him alive, and watch his flesh peel right then and there. Unfortunately, I didn't have any of the tools or the optimal location required for that  so I ignored him and continued working on our project.

Before I knew it, half an hour passed by and Alex had just finished turning my closet inside out. "Your clothes are so bland, no wonder you're boring" he says while walking towards my bed.

Again, I just ignored him and kept writing. So, he stood up getting ready to sock me in the eye for not listening. But that was when we heard heavy footsteps coming up to my room.

Alex almost immediately backed off and sat on the bed just in time for my dad to open the door. "Max, who is this?" he asked and before I could answer, my mom who was trailing right behind him chimed "This is his lovely friend Alex, they got partnered together for a school project". 'PFFT yea right- it should be a law to not use "Alex" and "lovely" in the same sentence'

"A friend huh? Well nice to meet you, I'm Max's dad" he replied. Alex then stood up and said "Nice to meet you too, Mr. Donaldson" while shaking his hand. "Max you never told us you had such a polite friend" my dad added.

'Someone get me out of this shithole' I just shrugged and my mom beckoned us downstairs to eat dinner. Of course, Alex with his constant good boy act just had to chime in and say "I could just go home for dinner Mrs. Donaldson, I wouldn't want to be a bother" "Oh hush you're eating with us and that's final" my mom answered.

Right when my mom said that, he looked me dead in the eye and fucking smirked.

'I will do anything. Any fucking thing just for someone to just kill me right here.'  We headed to our dining room which had a big-ass island and our circular-shaped table. My mother seated Alex between me and her and she began putting food on the table.

"So are you two close friends at school?" my dad asked. I just kept thinking 'Define what you mean by close because if you mean him beating me up almost everyday then yeah, we're close alright.'

"You know it sir, we're best buds. Max is pretty closed off but when we started talking I realized he's a great guy" Alex says with a smile.

If I wasn't trying to go with all of this bullshit I'd just be in awe of how good Alex can switch his personality. I'm still not 100% convinced that he doesn't have a spilt personality.

"Oh really? Is this true Max?" my dad asked again, "Yeah... best buds, that's us" 'I will definitely hang myself after this'.

My mom finished setting the food on the table then sat down and said "Max you really should be more like Alex, be more outgoing and talkative." 'ARE YOU FUCKING KIDDING ME?' "Yeah Max, you'd have a lot more friends if you'd be more sociable like Alex is" my dad added. Right when I was about to say something, Alex cut me off and went "Awh don't be like that Mr. and Mrs. Donaldson, Max tries his best but he's just a bit shy sometimes" while putting his sweaty arm around my neck.

'I fucking swear I'm killing myself right after this' "How nice of you to say that Alex" my mom chimed.

*About a few hours later*

After what seemed to be an eternity of never-ending suffering, Alex finally went home. But of course, my parents didn't stop talking about him after he left, so I went to hide in my room.

I looked at my closet and saw the absolute mess Alex made of it while I was working on our report.

I sighed and got to work cleaning up. While I was cleaning, I saw something out of the corner of my eye. By the closet door, I saw something bright; almost as if it was glitching. I reached my hand out to touch it, but before I could, it vanished into thin air.

'Okay, weird... I'm probably just not getting enough sleep' I thought as I brushed the thought out of my head.

I got ready for bed, but that strange occurrence kept lingering at the back of my head. 'It was nothing, I'm probably just seeing things.' I turned off the lights, laid in my bed, and closed my eyes to sleep.
