I woke doing my daily hygiene and took a quick shower. I got dressed in my white and black long sleeved plaid shirt with my black pants and my black Jordans (hey I'm lil miss swagger). I let my wavy hair flow and put on my black beanie. While I was taking selfies in the mirror I received a text from Carmen.

Bestie for life: Smh same ole thang. Girl guess what?!

Kiara boo: OMG WHAT?!

I finished getting ready and grabbed my Nike duffle bag and headed downstairs.

"Morning" I kissed my mom on the cheek.

"Hey baby ready for your first day at Crenshaw?" I got a piece of French toast and put some Nutella on it. Mhmmm.

"Kinda hey where's Lamar?"

"At the studio"(Yes he's a rapper)

"Ok bye love u" I headed out the door.

I walked outside to the bus stop.

I love me sum Aaliyah.Her style her sound especially her style. That girl invented swag. I have that Aaliyah style.I hate she died in that plane crash. Now I just listen to her music all the time. I have all of her albums. My favorite song is Are You That Somebody. My mom named me after her Kiara Aaliyah Thomas.

I was looking through my phone when I noticed a girl walking this way. I went to listening to music.

"Hey" the girl said.

"Hey" I gave her a little smile which showed my dimple on the right cheek.

"I'm Zendaya I saw u guys move across the street u new?" she sat beside me.

"I'm Kiara but prefer people to call me K.T.Yeah me, my mom, and her new boyfriend just moved here" I said. I looked at her. She was bout 5'8, pretty,long brown hair, and wore an L.A. Dodgers shirt with some blue jeans and some Jordans similar to mine.

"Looks like we're neighbors anyway where are you guys from?"Zendaya smiled at me.

"Detroit" I put my beats on my neck.

"Ooh I have an aunt who stays down there. My family goes there every weekend. Last week we went to Big Sean's concert. That's bae Ariana betta watch her back" Zendaya rolled her neck. Lol.

"Damn well August is mine then. Bae for life with his fine ass" I bit my lip a lil.

"Stop being thirsty u can have him" We laughed and started talking bout other things. Zendaya's really cool. Found out we both love to play basketball and Aaliyah. Cool right. wow I haven't even made to the school and already made a new friend. I just hope this day runs smoothly without any issues. Lord be with me.
