Werewolf ~ Part 3

Words: 2134

Dan and Phil exited the woods hand in hand. Dan looked up at the pack house and sighed before turning to Phil. "I don't want to hurt you." He whispers.

"You won't ... I'll make sure of it! We'll figure out a way - I promise." Phil smiled and kissed Dan's cheek.

"But how? I turn into a monster nightmares are made of every full moon and I can't do a thing to stop it when it attacks." Dan felt a hopelessness wash over him. Phil smiled sadly and dragged Dan over to a bench. He pulled him into his lap and stroked his hair -  knowing it would calm him down.

"Well .. until we figure out how, we just need to keep you at a safe distance every full moon. I'll do some research and look through the books in the library."

Dan turned in Phil's lap. "What do you think I've been reading for the last 6 months? I can't find anything on half man - half wolf werewolves other than children's fairy tales which told me nothing. I only found books on wolf history and stuff about the moon goddess." Dan huffed. Phil bit his lip and pulled Dan back.

"Well let's think, what's special or unique about you that could possibly link to it?" Phil questioned.

Dan shrugged, "Well ... I shifted on a full moon." he suggested.

"Yeah but so did Joe and Louise and they shift into wolves so it has to be something else but that could have helped the transformation." Phil frowned. He tried to think back to Dan's birthday and pick out if anything was abnormal. "Look, we'll think more about it tomorrow - in the mean time you should get some sleep." Phil instructed and carried Dan up to his room.

He lay Dan down on the bed and kissed his lips once and smiled. He got up to leave when Dan reached out and grabbed his arm. "Stay with me?" Dan whispered. Phil smiled and nodded, kicking his jeans off and jumping into bed with Dan, wrapping an arm securely round his waist. "We never got to do this, it feels nice." Dan smiled and nuzzled into Phil's chest.

"Yeah, it does. Get some sleep and we can cuddle in the morning." Phil chuckled, earning a giggle from Dan before his breathing soon evened out and they had both fallen asleep.

Dan felt happy and relieved when he woke up to see Phil's sleeping face. Being in his hold felt so right and he wished he'd have that feeling forever. He just wanted to stop being a monster and live a normal werewolf life with his mate.

"Morning babe." Phil beamed and kissed Dan's lips.

"Good morning ... I could get used to this." Dan grinned, hugging Phil closer.

"You better because I'm not stopping anytime soon."

Dan sighed in happiness and rested his chin on Phil's chest whilst stroking up and down his arm. "Y'know ... I never apologized for what I said to you three weeks ago." Dan looked down in shame. "I didn't mean it, I definitely want you-"

"Dan, you don't have to explain. I know why you did it, and it hurt at the time but now that I know you didn't mean it, it's fine." Phil reassured and kissed Dan's cheek to prove a point. Dan smiled and he blinked away the tears threatening to fall.

After a long cuddle in bed, they both got up and got dressed - Phil borrowing some of Dan's clothes since he didn't have a fresh change of clothes.

"We've got training this morning. You can come if you want - we're doing combat today so no shifting." Phil offered as they walked down the stairs.

Dan looked hesitant." Are you sure? If the alpha forces me to shift all hell will break loose." He bit his lip and Phil kissed him for the hundredth time that morning.
