14. CEO🗂

"Oh shoot... I have that dinner tonight!" I had been so busy with my day trying to avoid Ni-ki and Sunghoon that i completely forgot i was having dinner with my dads CEO tonight. I quickly got home because i didn't know when he was coming, it would be anytime and i at least need to look presentable.

AT HOME

My mum and dad where already home so i assumed he was coming soon.
"Hey darling, please make sure you look smart tonight as this could lead to your dad getting promoted." My mum said when i walked into the house as she was drying some glasses she'd just cleaned.
"Promoted? Already? We only moved here like 3 weeks ago."
"I know but the CEO is impressed with the amount of effort your dad puts into his work."
"Oh right okay, we'll what do you consider.. smart?"
"Just wear that black dress that's on your bed, i bought it for you today."
"Oh okay."
"Hurry up i want you down here in 20 minutes."
"Wait he's coming now?"
"He's coming for 5 i want you down here and ready to introduce yourself." INTRODUCE MYSELF!? IS SHE MAD?!
"Introduce myself!? Mum you know how awkward i am."
"I don't want to hear it, think of your dad."
"Fine.." I said before i walked off to my room. I saw a short black dress latex on my bed with a note next to it...
'Bought you this to wear tonight, love mum xx'
The dress is so pretty, i instantly put it on and began to curl my hair and put some make up on. After all mum did tell me to make and effort.

I LOVE MY OUTFIT

The dress is so pretty it makes me feel so beautiful.
I finished off my makeup before the doorbell rang and i went downstairs to greet my dads CEO.

Me and my mum were standing in the living room area while my dad went and opened the door. The CEO opened my door and a tall man in a black suit entered, he shook my dads hand before walking over to me and my mum.

"It's a pleasure to meet you Mr Kim." My mum said holding her hand out to shake his.
"Oh please, call me Tae." He smiled, shaking her hand before looking at me.
"Oh- Y/n." I smiled shaking his hand.
"Pleasure to meet you y/n, why, aren't you just gorgeous!"
"Thank you." I awkwardly chuckled.
"You'd be a perfect fit for my son! Come on in son." A tall boy stepped into the house and made his way over to us.

NI-KI!? WAIT, NI-KI IS THE SON OF MY DADS CEO? okay, stay calm y/n, act like you don't know him.
"Your father has told me you two are in the same year at school," shoot "maybe you've seen each other around."
Okay, just play it cool y/n, i smiled and held out my hand, "Y/n, nice to meet you, i don't think we've met." Ni-ki looked down at my hand, then back up at me.
"Ni-ki." He said shaking my hand, "and um, yeah you too."
"Manners son!" His dad nudged him. He rolled his eyes then turned his attention back to me.
"Nice to meet you too, i'm Ni-ki." He forced a smile.
"Okay well.." my mum broke the awkward silence. "Shall we get to dinner?"
"Yes let's." Tae smiled as my mum led us to the dining area she had set up with tables and chairs.

My mum had made a fancy dinner, to be honest i never knew she could cook like this, most of the time it was freezer food or takeaway, back in England it was anyway. The dinner was so awkward, my dad was sat at the top of the table, Tae and Ni-ki next to each other on one side and me and my mum on the other. It was so awkward because me and Ni-ki were sat right across from each other and we were making accidentally eye contact. We both just sat in silence and ate our food while my dad and Tae spoke about business, i don't really know to be honest 99% of the time i was zoned out.

"So y/n!" Oh god, "You're the same age as my boy?"
"Seems like it." I smiled.
"Well, with a perfect face like that i think you'd be amazing for my boy."
"Dad!"
"Excuse me?" I said.
"You see, my son has never had a girlfriend and i keep asking him and asking him when he's gonna get one and you know what he says?"
"What?"
"I'm waiting to find 'the right person' so i can treat them right." I can't lie, that's adorable, it's not something you'd usually heard about a person like Ni-ki.
"Dad can you not, please?"
"Oh calm down Riki i'm not going to ask her to be your girlfriend but, i am going to ask her if she'd be interested on going out on a date with you."
"A date!? Dad!"
"I'm sorry, a date?" I said almost chocking on my food.
"Yeah! Nothing too special and you don't even have to clarify it as a date! More of a, get to know each other. Like you said when we arrived y/n you don't think you and Riki have met."
"Dad please don't call me Riki."
"Why not? I call you it at home."
"Yeah that's at home, outside the house my names Ni-ki."
"Alright then, y/n?"
"Yeah?"
"Would you be interested on going on a date with my son? I mean a get to know each other, i mean if you wanna class it as a date you can but it doesn't have to be. You see my son hangs around with the wrong crowd, that Heeseung and Sunghoon are a bad influence on him." Hm, more like the other way around, Sunghoons actually really nice.

I didn't know what to say, i looked at my dad and he was giving me the look to say yes because it'd be good for his work and promotion but then i looked at Ni-ki who was avoiding looking in my direction at all costs. But, at the end of the day this could be really good for my dads promotion and earning us money.
"Of course, if that's okay with him."
"Son?" Tae said turning his head to Ni-ki.
"Yeah sure, whatever." Ugh, that boy and his whatever's.
"Perfect! How does tomorrow night sound?"
"Tomorrow!?" Both me and Ni-ki said at the same time.
"Why..... something happening?"
"My daughters free tomorrow night." My dad said. Why did he have to say that!
"Perfect, tomorrow it is! Ni-ki will pick you up at 8pm sharp!"
"O- Okay."
"Anyways Mrs y/l/n this dinner has been amazing thank you so much for letting us come over to speak to your husband."
"No worries Mr Kim, thank you for coming."
"My pleasure, have a good time tomorrow y/n." My smiled before him and Ni-ki left. As Ni-ki was walking away from the table he side eyed me and oh boy it looks could kill. I was so gonna be dead at school tomorrow...
