19. Mixed signals🚨

...he kissed me.

I didn't know what to do. We both pulled away and stared at each other in silence, i was about to say something before the bell went for the end of lunch. Ni-ki shot up out of his seat as the bell rang, offering his hand out to me.
"See you later?" He said raising one eyebrow.
"Yeah!" I smiled before he grabbed his bag and left (My lesson was literally opposite the library.)

"YO YO Y/N!!" Jake said as he came practically dancing in the library
"SHHH!" Noise came from the opposite of the library.
"Party poopers, anyways y/n you'll never guess who i just saw walking out of the library." He said rushing to sit next to me.
"Who?"
"NI-KI and he had like the BIGGEST smile on his face, did you see what he was doing in here?" I held back my blush at Jake saying Ni-ki was smiling.
"Oh uh, no i didn't even know he was in here."
"Huh, weird. So, you coming tonight?"
"Of course I am! I'll walk if i have to!"
"Okay!! Sounds good we're all meeting at the arcade at 7 then walking to the cinema from there."
"Alright cinema at 7 got it."
"Cool beans now i have to go to my singing lessons or my instructors gonna rip my head off"
"YOU HAVE SINGING LESSONS!?"
"SHHHHH!"
"Oops, you have singing lessons?"
"You didn't know!?"
"NO!"
"SHHHHH!"
"I swear i told you."
"Noooope"
"Damn well now you know, adios amiga."
"Yeah yeah adios."

I couldn't speak to Ni-ki for the rest of the day because i was with all the boys, the most i could do is make eye contact with him and slightly smile as he walked past. But, for some reason, he kept walking, he didn't even smile back, it's like he was back to how he was.

I needed to speak to Ni-ki, but i couldn't until after school, this whole thing was so confusing, like, was he messing with me? Is that why he didn't smile back, does he like me?! More importantly, do i like him? I had so many questions running through my head I couldn't think straight. Like, is this some sort of joke? "y/n" Is this a one time thing like the rest? "y/n" Was he thinking the same things I am? "...y/n??????" What if him and his friends set me up and filmed it to make fun of me? "y/n.." What if it was a dare!
"Y/N!" Jake shouted, breaking me from my daydream.
"What yeah sorry."
"Are you okay? You're as white as a sheet of a paper and you're legs bouncing like bad."
"Yeah sorry just, thinking about something."
"OOO, spill."
"I- can't."
"EH?! Wow it must be serious, y/n, we've bene friends for 3 years you can tell me everything and you do tell me everything, you know i won't judge.""
"Yeah i know, and it's not that i think you'll judge i just can't tell you in general."
"Hm, okay i respect that, but you'll tell me eventually right?""
"Oh yeah of course." I smiled.
"Good good, now get some water or food or something in you woman you're pale as."
"Right." I snickered taking a big drink of water out my bottle.

I was scared to approach Ni-ki after school, mainly because he hung out with all the pretty mean boys in the school. I shakily walked up to him, a lump started appearing in my throat, you know those ones that you get when you're about to cry?
"Ni-ki." I said. All the boys looked at me, there was like 15 of them, they all began screaming as soon as they saw me.

'AYE NI-KI IS THIS YOUR GIRLFRIEND?'
'WHO'S THIS CHICK RIKI'
'OOOO NI-KI'S GOT A GIRLFRIEND'

"WAIT WAIT!" One of them said, "is this your girlfriend Ni-ki?"
"OOOOOOOO" All the boys started."
"Girlfriend?" Ni-ki said, "I've never seen this chick in my life, besides, she's not even my type."
"MAN WHY YOU GOTTA DISAPPOINT US LIKE THAT!" One of the boys said in disappointment. My heart sunk at his words, never spoken to me in his life? Yeah right Ni-ki. Tears we're filling my eyes as I walked away, how could i be as foolish to think he'd ever like me, he's the most popular boy in school while i literally had the nickname 'foreign kid'.

I was silently crying my eyes out as i walked out of school, i hated what i had done and i've never felt more regret in my life, i had embarrassed myself in front of all the popular people at my school, including Ni-ki.
"Hey y- y/n? What's wrong?" Jay said coming up to be, immediately pulling me into a hug.
"I'm so stupid Jay." I said, crying into his arms.
"No you're not y/n, you're anything but." He said pulling out of the hug, taking an handkerchief out of his pocket and wiping the tears off my face. "What happened?"
"I made a fool out of myself, in front of everyone." I said bursting out crying again.
"Hey hey hey, it's okay." Jay said pulling me into a hug again, "want me to walk you home?" i slightly nodded my head, sniffling as i tried to calm myself down.

"Are you going to be okay?" Jake said as we got to my house.
"Yeah, i'll be fine."
"Call me if you need me okay?" I nodded at his words smiling. "Are you coming tonight, to the cinema?"
"Yeah i'll be there."
"Alright well i'll see you there then." He smiled."
"Thank you Jay, for everything."
"Anytime y/n, you know i'm always here if you need me." I smiled as he walked away , as i got to my front door i realised, the argument with my parents.

I silently walked into the house, hoping neither of my parents would hear me.
"Y/n." Great, "We need to speak." My mum said, to my luck i'd forgotten my dad works late.
"I'm not in the mood." I said walking storming up the stairs, i could hear my mum shouting at me while i walked up but honestly at this point i didn't care, i had something else to worry about other than an argument with my parents.

6:30p.m

I was in my room getting ready to meet the boys at the cinema when i heard rocks being thrown at my window, i opened my curtains to see who was there and... it was Ni-ki.
"Oh you have GOT to be kidding me." I angrily shut my curtains, grabbed my phone and keys then angrily walked down the stairs. I was so ready to shout at this kid, he says he doesn't even know who i am then turns up at my window not even 5 hours later. I'm so done with him...
