It's been a total of six months since you've been undercover at S.H.I.E.L.D, gathering as much information on your father as you could. Your grandfather was right...for once. Your father was very much alive. He has kept under the radar so well that it made it nearly impossible for you locate him. That is unless he wanted to be found. Why slip up now? Why make such an avoidable mistake...what was he planning?
"Y/n." Your eyes snap straight up to lock with Natasha's.
"Yes?" You clear your throat, it was becoming extremely difficult to keep this under. Natasha has been looking over your shoulder for over two weeks now, it must have something to do with her catching you on a log sheet with a different username.
"Fury wants to speak with you. It's urgent." Natasha says as she takes a step back to let you pass.
"Right. Okay." You walk past her and can feel her on your heels. Your eyes wonder, noticing a few other agents gathering beside you and behind. "Is there a problem?"
Instead of an answer it was complete silence. You sigh as you continue to walk to Fury's office. What if they caught on, you hadn't heard from your grandfather or anyone on the Hydra side for a while. You turn a corner to see a few other agents loaded with gear, looking as if they were about to go into a war. You walk into Fury's office, surprisingly there weren't any agents in here.
"It has been brought to my attention... Agent DeMarco, that you have been snooping around where you shouldn't." Fury stands up as he speaks. You curl your lips inward, not wanting to show any reaction.
"I'm sorry, I don't know what you are talking about." You avoid eye contact with Fury. You take a step back, you can hear rummage at the door.
"I may have one bad eye, but I'm not blind." Fury walks towards you, his hands in his pockets. Your eyes focus to the right, noticing someone being escorted down the hallway.
"You have been working with Hydra DeMarco." Your eyes dart back to Fury, this time you look him in the eyes. The words coming out of his mouth make your blood boil. The information you were given had a specific name linked to the 'murder' of your father. The person who shot your father. Director Fury. You smile as you look down.
"Director Nicholas Joseph Fury." You let out a small chuckle. "How long did it take you to figure out?"
"Not long." Fury looks at you with such disappointment. You look away, wondering how you were going to escape this situation. Within seconds, two guards walk in and grab you from behind. You attempt to fight back but they already put the restraints on you and scoff.
"Take her to where the other prisoner is being held until further questioning." Fury nods his head to one of the agents as he pulls you towards the door.
Well it would seem that your cover was blown. You start to think about where your father could be right now, wondering if your grandfather alerted him. Who are you kidding, your father left you when you were three years old and then you were told he was killed, why would he come to save you now.
The guards lead you to a room where it would seem you will be sharing with another prisoner. As you walk inside the room, you realize its the same person that was being escorted down the hallway. This tall figure before you locks eyes with yours, then looks away in annoyance.
"Well hello to you too." You say as you walk to the other side of the cell.
"You two play nice now." You hear a voice behind you, causing you to turn around. "Agent DeMarco, I'd like for you to meet Thor's brother, Loki---"
"The God of Mischief." You finish Fury's sentence. You turn around to look at Loki.
"I know who he is."
