As you stared across the table at the dark haired slytherin, you couldn't help but notice your heart skip a beat. It caused you to feel weirdly calm, relaxing almost; that rush meant you were in the premise of him, and you never really wanted to leave. That resting face that only ever showed any emotion through his eyes and the rare smile that would creep onto his face somehow made you fall for him and you couldn't help but punch yourself because of it.

You've known him for years, before even stepping foot on Hogwarts grounds, and you couldn't help but ask yourself why now you would develop these feelings, or even at all.

Regulus rolling his eyes snapped you out of your thoughts, they landed on you and you knew what that glare ment. Evan Rosier had been blabbering about Slughorn's 'unfair' grading system and how 'potions is pointless' when both of you in Regulus knew that he was failing in the class.

"Like, there's no point in even having the class, it's not like I'm going to become some alchemist when I'm older." He rambled on, before taking a huge bread roll and shoving it in his mouth causing you to chuckle along with Regulus. "Shame my parents can't seem to understand it. If I fail another test my mum is going to send another howler."

Both of you remembered the funny howler Evan's mum sent him last week when she was informed of her son's failing scores by Slughorn. It was the first time most of the slytherins had heard Regulus laugh as hard as he did and quite frankly, you were more than willing to let Evan get embarrassed by his mother in front of the entire school again to see him smile.

Evan's eyes beamed like he just had the first idea in his entire life. Regulus caught your eye as you both sat up, not liking that look on his face. "What if you guys help-"

"No." You immediately responded.

"Oh come on, you both get invited to those Slughorn parties." Evan looked over to his friend, and Regulus didn't seem that enthusiastic either. "Come on man, you owe me."

Regulus sighed and slowly nodded his head. "Fine." He reluctantly stated.

You've never wanted to punch his perfect face more in your entire life than that moment. As fun as studying for potions would be with Regulus, you did not want to spend more time with Evan. The kid was a pain in the ass and his morals were screwed because of his family's pure-blooded beliefs. You knew Regulus hated him too, and while he differed from the Black family belief of pure-blood superiority, he would still keep up the act and help other pure-bloods simply because of their blood status, which sadly ment helping Evan.

"Only if y/n will help too." Regulus continued, causing Evan to have a teasing smile and try to flirtatiously wink at you that forced you to stifle a laugh.

"What do you say y/n?" Evan said. "What to help me out."

You sighed, thinking you might as well. "Sure, what time?"

"I asked Slughorn already and he said that I can have the potions room at five. Does that work?"

The look on Regulus' face said otherwise. "I'm going to be a little late."

Again, you wanted to punch him.

"We can get started and Regulus can join us when he's done doing Merlin knows what." You told Evan. "But now, I have to help my other dumb friend with their charms work."

You grabbed your bag and a bread roll before standing up and walking out of the great hall, a small smile on your face as you saw one of your other friends. But you didn't see Regulus' eyes watching you and his eyes glazing over.

But you also didn't see the fist forming when Evan tried to flirt, if you could even call it that, with you.

When the boys were out of your sight, Regulus punched Evan in the shoulder. Even yelped and rubbed his shoulder and looked over to the already glaring boy. "The bloody hell was that for?"
