Chapter 5| Not ever

Narrator POV

Natsu moves swiftly through out the wind. The only thing on his mind was to put as much distance between him and Lucy.

As much as he didnt want to, he forced himself to leave his bestfriend. And future wife if I may add

He even left Happy! Thats how much he wanted to keep Lucy safe. Oh yeah, the guild too. He will miss them so dearly. Natsu was on verge of tears knowing he had to leave his family.

But right now was no time to weep. He felt thorns brush across his skin, his feet were in pain. But right now, none of this mattered.

He had to leave now.

"How much further should I go?" Natsu thought out loud. Yes in one day he managed to get to Crocus! That's how determined he was.

But right now, determination wasnt important. Just getting somewhere far was important. Though as much as Natsu didn't want to, his mind was on Lucy only.

Nastu felt like going back, he really did! But was scared of what Lucy or the guild will think of him.

As he was walking he saw a sighn that read

'You are now entering AmberLight'

Natsu decided he would stay in this small village. Natsu letted out a sigh and putted on his cloak. He strolled around town and bought a few things here and there. But one thing caught his eye.

A yellow bright gemstone that was shaped as a star hanging of the chain of the necklace.

"Lucy" he thought. Natsu brought the beautiful necklace and incased it in the case the woman gave him.

Natsu ended up wandering in the forest of AmberLight. He would see the occasional deer and bunny but a loud roar erupted his peaceful day.

He followed the noise and saw someone.

And this someone was familiar. VERY familiar.

"Lucy?"

Happy's POV

When Lucy broke the news I silently weeped. But I knew Natsu will come back. No matter what he has to come back home.

Lucy didnt even bother to stay in the guild. Everyone seemed to be crying. Mira turned into Satan Soul and kept yelling "NATSU GET THE HELL BACK HERE SO NALU CAN REIGHN OR I WILL FUCKING DRAG YOU BACK!"

I decided to go to Lucy house and see how she's doing.

I peeked through her window and found her crying her eyes out. I can see how badly she missed Natsu. She was curled up on her bed and hugged her knees.

This seemed to take a large toll on Lucy. I know how close her and Natsu were. Best of friends and maybe that could have turned into something more.

I've seen enough. I didn't want to see Lucy crying and being so sad. I went home with my head held down.

But this isn't a home.

It isn't a home if your friends aren't here. This isn't a place to call my home anymore. It's just a house, a place.

Nothing more, nothing less.

I walk around my house and look at the board and see all the missions we've done. I see the first mission we did with Lucy.

Natsu acted differently when Lucy walked in our lives.

Sure he was happy before, but with Lucy, cheerful, joyful, elated even. I knew Natsu liked Lucy.

Even if he didn't admitted it. He never wanted to see Lucy cried.

Nats is a baka for leaving his best friend and crush.

I didnt want to eat. Not even fish. Everything seemed dull. Nothing excited. Grey clouds filled the sky.

This is the only flaw of my name.

Even when Im sad, Im still Happy.

This night I decided to sleep at Lucy's. Her face teared up just by seeing me. When When I was about to go to sleep Lucy pulled me in for a hug and whispered, "I miss him too, even him breaking in , Happy"

Not ever till this day, has it seemed dull and lifeless in Magnolia.

Not ever till this day, has the whole guild been depressed.

Not ever till this day, has Lucy miss Natsu breaking in.
