Chapter 8| Gone

Lucy POV
Lucy is back in business guys!

I got on the train and say down on the passenger seat. I came alone on this job. I went without Levy, Happy, or Juvia like I usually do.

It's been a year since Natsu disappeared and the guild changed. Including me.

I look out the window and see a field of lavenders. And soon the scene changed to a little run down village.

The job said there has been a recent increase on bandits and robberies. I have to take them out. Through out the year, I trained and trained. I became stronger and stronger so I can be able to travel to even the most remote places and to see if Natsu was there.

But he never was.

I get off the train and find a small sign that read:

You are now entering AmberLight

This must be the place, I thought and followed the trail if stones. It lead me to the middle of the village.

"Ahh, so you must be the Fairy Tail wizard that accepted the quest." a middle aged man said. "Yep, Thats me." I said with barely any emotion.

"As the paper says, there are bandits and we wish you can take care of the problem. The reward is 80,000. It's such a high reward just to take care of some bandits but they aren't ordinary ones. They live in the forest" he warned me.

"Will do, sir"I said and left for the mission.

After walking and walking I managed to get to the forest. I would often hear some rustling but it would be a deer or a rabbit.

I decided to wait till night so I made camp.

~Time skip~

I saw the sun set and decided now was the time to strike. I packed up and sneaked around.

I caused little to no noise. Here and there a twig would snap.

I was walking in some plains until I fell down. "Itai..." I mumbled. Thats when I saw someone that had a cloak on.

"Are you one of those bandits?" I said rather calmed but I had no emotion. The person didn't answer. So I spoke up louder. "Are you one of those bandits!?"

Once again, the person didn't answer.

"Im taking that as a yes." I said. I pulled out my keys and called out Aries, "Open, gate of the golden ram,Aries!"

But as she was about to come out, the stranger grabbed the key. I was so surprised by how fast he was.

"So you really don't remember me huh, Luce."

Luce?

Could it be? Has my search come to an end?

"Na...stu?" was all that was audible coming from my mouth. The man pulled down his cloak and I saw a familiar face. By then tears if joy poured out.

"I'm back Lucy" Natsu said holding back little tears.

Before anything could happen I squeezed him tightly as if he was going to disappear again. I felt him hug back.

"Where were you Natsu, where?" I said while choking back tears.

"Gone"

I couldn't help it, I cried onto him and hugged him even tighter.

"I missed you so much!" I practically yelled.

"I missed you more" he said which made my heart beat faster than usual. We just stayed there hugging,
