"I think you should quit," Sebastian shakes his head at me.

"I'm not quitting, I need money."

"I can give you money," Sebastian sighs.

"I'm not taking a hand out, I'm almost done with my dose, I'm fine," I say as I open the fridge and grab a beer.

"If Imogen is worried about you, you know it's real. Jaiden you need to fucking quit, work at a club that doesn't have a poker run in the basement."

"How the hell do you know about Imogen?" I lower my voice so the girls don't hear me from the living room. Sebastian raises a brow and shakes his head, he's been speculating something between us for a bit now.

"She texted me. The girl went out of her way and texted me, of all people. About you, of all people. She's worried, I don't know why," He shrugs and looks back to the living room to the girls sitting on the couch talking.

"I've got it handled."

"You aren't giving money to your mom, are you? I thought that was over."

"I'm not giving her any money," I snap bringing my beer to my lips. Sebastian narrows his eyes at me and I let him assess me.

"Fine," he grumbles and walks out of the kitchen. I watch him approach Genevieve, who smiles brightly at him. He leans down and kisses her forehead, he gives a hint of a small smile only for Genevieve.

The doorbell rings and I sigh and swipe my wallet off the counter, I thank the pizza delivery guy and carry the boxes to the living room, I put them down on the coffee table before opening on, grabbing a cheese slice, "sweetheart," I get Imogen's attention, I throw her the slice and she gives me a smile. It's the tiny things in life I guess.

"Okay so let's watch a horror movie!" Spencer says grabbing a slice of pizza.

"Why?" Genevieve asks moving closer to Sebastian. She looks healthier, considering the last time she collapsed and fell down our stairs.

"Because horror is cool," Spencer shrugs going through our Netflix. I take a seat on the L part of our L-Shaped couch, right in front of Imogen, I grab another slice of pizza for myself.

"Your such a weirdo," Imogen tells Spencer, and Maverick snickers.

"I thrive in my weirdo-ness," Spencer winks. "Oh Midsommer is a great movie," Spencer says.

"Agreed, Florence Pugh is hot too," I comment as I pull out my phone.

"Amen," Maverick agrees. "Put on Get Out," Maverick points out. I scroll through some texts, ignoring those texts about money and shit. I grumble as I see mom's text thread.

"Growly, move out of the way," Imogen says pushing my thigh with her foot. I glance up at her to see her moving closer to the middle of the couch, I put my phone on the coffee table, grab two more slices of pizza and slide onto the couch. I hand the other to Imogen as the movie starts. I'm hardly paying attention to the movie, my mind is somewhere else and I'm stuck inside my head until Imogen shifts beside me.

I glance at her to see her rubbing her chest, I poke her forearm and she looks at me "you good?" I whisper lolling my head on the back of the couch.

"I'm fine, just comes in waves sometimes," she whispers back turning her body towards mine and getting comfortable.

"It's not the movie is it?" I ask crossing my arms, she shakes her head. I can sense her head laying right beside mine and I know she's not focused on the movie either. "Have you made a decision about your dad?" I whisper, eyeing our friends who aren't paying attention to us.
