I've never been a nervous person, not when it comes to school, work, or social life but I'm nervous waiting for Imogen. She's had a rough week with her Nclex exam and the second she was done she hopped on a flight. Bold of her but it doesn't bother me. We haven't seen each other in months, it's the end of September. We call, FaceTime and text a lot but it's different, it also pains me to be away from her, especially after what happened back in May.

She tells me she's okay but I know her and Genevieve keeps me up to date a lot.

My hands itch for my deck of cards in my back pocket but I stop myself as I see a wave of people begin to come down the escalators. I spot my girlfriend before she spots me and I smile, she's wearing one of my hoodies and leggings. She finally spots me and does the cutest wave like she's shy, I smile and wave back, she is so adorable.

I weave my way through the crowd waiting for their own loved ones, Imogen is already throwing herself into my arms and I lift her up quickly. Her arms and legs tighten around me as I grab her suitcase and walk us to a more private place in the airport. "Please don't cry," I beg her.

She laughs and pulls away so I can see her face, I smile up at her "Hi," I say.

"Hi," she smiles "I missed you," she presses a hand to my jaw. I laugh and she leans down to kiss me. I set her down much to her dismay and pull her in closer, deepening the kiss.

"Ti Voglio bene," I whisper to her and she smiles.

"I love you too," she says softly. I press my fingers to her spine.

"Let's go home?" I ask and she nods, I grab her suitcase again and her hand with my free hand. "So how was the flight?" I ask her as I lead her through the airport.

"It was two hours so I napped," she shrugs and I smile pulling her closer. "I'm exhausted," she sighs. I have no doubt, she literally did an exam that determines her whole future.

"Well, I have the night planned anyways," I tell her as we exit and the sun is setting when we walk out "Ready to try some deep-dish pizza?" I ask.

"What if I hate it?" She asks and I laugh. "You better be prepared with a backup."

"I'll make tacos," I assure her and she pats my abs lightly, I kiss the top of her head.

"How's work?" She asks me.

"Decent, it's a slow start since we're newbies but it's not bad and the guys are around our age," I shrug backing out of my parking space. Imogen glances at me as I back out.

"Plus they provide semi-free living expenses?" She asks.

"Exactly?" I wink at her facing forward. "So how was it really?" I ask her, she sighs next to me.

"Exhausting, tiring," She recounts her nursing exam with a faraway look. "We were allowed a break but it still was long."

"And how long until you get results?" I ask while switching lanes.

"Most likely tomorrow," She sighs and I glance at her "they grade it so quickly, I'm never gonna sleep," she mumbles playing with her necklace.

"Well, I never sleep period so I'll keep you company," I shrug and she chuckles. I reach over and pry her fingers off her necklace and lace mine through hers.

"So are you more of a city person?" Imogen asks.

"Not sure, it's not like I lived in the country," I shrug as I find a parking spot by the curb. "It's not a bad city," I shrug. "Want to come in?" I ask shoving my wallet into my pocket.

"Sure," she shrugs opening her door. I wait for her at the curb as she rounds the car, she slides under my arm and I lead her into the restaurant. "I've missed your hugs," she hums.
