•*CHAPTER SIX: five teen royals*•

THE CENTRE

"Fifteen years ago, the first celestial banished Emperor Kier of the dark realm to another dimension~"

"Oh I know this story! It's because he tried to take over the realms, right?"

"Don't interrupt me, Nolan!"

"Sorry..."

"As I was saying, Kier wanted more power, power he did not have"

"The power of my grandfather.. but why?"

"Part of this story was lost. Truth is, Kier thought it was his birthright to be king of the realms.. and it was"

The old explained, "the first celestial had not one son, but two: your king, Edlund and his older brother, Kier, the dark emperor. Because he was the eldest he should've been king but he was deranged and power hungry, it was never enough for him.. he became too dangerous. So the first celestial banished him and made his youngest son king of what he had created"

Finn blinked in disbelief, he furrowed his eyebrows as he tried to comprehend exactly what The Old One was implying, "wait, so you're telling me, I have an evil.. uncle?"

The Old One nodded, "well I wouldn't of put it that way but I suppose you do"

"Why can't my family be normal?" Pouted Finn, kicking the air in frustration.

Anyta decided to ask a question she'd been pondering since The Old One opened his wise mouth, "sir, the story is interesting and all but where do we fit into this?"

The Old One smiled a knowing smile, "you five are the elementals, chosen heroes who will defeat the Dark Emperor and save the realms"

The five teen royals blinked, shared a look between one another before bursting out uncontrollable laughter. The Old One shot them daggers, with his warning glance, they shut their mouths fearfully.

Asher took the liberty of speaking on their behalf, "no offence, sir, but what makes you think we could be heroes? I mean, I could do it, but I doubt these lot can! Just look at Nolan! He looks like you could snap his noodle arms in half!"

"Yeah- hey!"

"No offence, Nolan"

"Oh yeah because I'd not take offence to that"

"I have trained you all" began The Old One, "you've all been blessed with the elemental powers of life by the first celestial himself, without these elements, we would all cease to exist"

Something didn't add up to Finn, he knew that Opal was the air elemental, Nolan was the earth elemental, Anyta was the water elemental and Asher was the fire elemental, but what was he?, "you're missing a crucial piece of information here sir: I'm not an elemental"

"You contain great power, Finn, power elemental's possess"

"Yes but I don't think accidentally blowing things up and glowing gold is really an elemental power"

The Old One's face softened as he looked at Finn, "walk with me" he cocked his head forward before he began moving And Finn hesitantly followed.

"Every team needs a leader, Finn, you are that leader"

"I'm no leader, sir.. I can't"

"Yes you can, I see great things within you, you remind me of someone like that"

"Who?"

"Your grandfather"

Finn gave a hopeful smile because being compared to the first celestial by their closest friend was an honour to the Prince. This sparked some hope inside him.

"So, what's our mission?" He asked as his teammates slowly joined him

"You must travel through the dark realm and stop Kier's minions from disturbing the First celestial's tomb to get their master back by stealing his spell book"

The five teen royals froze. What their teacher was asking of them was impossible! Nobody willingly goes into the dark realm! It's the dark realm!

"I can't go to the dark realm! I heard it's mostly a jungle these days and I'm.. I'm.. allergic to pollen!" Nolan claimed

Asher rolled his eyes, "mate, you're the fucking earth elemental!"

"Oh yeah.."

Finn clenched his fists in determination, "you can count on us, sir"

This is mostly a filler chapter to get the story along and get the elementals in the dark realm. They don't know some of their younger siblings are already there so it'll be a bit of a shock when they finally find out!
