•* CHAPTER ELEVEN: make a run for it!*•

CZEENDAR, THE DARK REALM

"Finn's not for sale, if that's what you're asking"

"Hang on, let's see how much his royal pain in the ass is worth.."

"ASHER!"

"Ow! I'm kidding! I'm kidding!"

Despite what the water elemental may believe, Harper wasn't delusional. She knew young Finn is not for sale and anyway, she doesn't trade in people: She may be from the dark realm but She's not a monster.

Finn arched an eyebrow, "what do you want then?"

Her smile grew as She proceeded to stroke her fingers along his arm. He shuddered under her sudden touch and Harper relished in it, enjoying the way She made him squirm.

Her smile faded once Anyta pulled him away and hid him with her body. God, she's acting like I'm gonna kidnap him, thought Harper.

"I want vile of Finn's blood" She stated without hesitation, "in fact, I want a vile of all of your blood"

Finn didn't flinch, "why?"

Nolan, however, took a step back and gulped, "I hate needles..."

"Because I want it"

Asher scoffed, "listen sweetheart, we're not gonna bleed for you without a better reason than that"

Harper batted her long, dark lashes. She'd been playing this game a long while now and no matter how stubborn her opponent, she always won.

"You're the elementals, magic like yours is very powerful and your blood may be useful" Harper stated, wrapping her bouncy, tight curls around her perfectly manicured finger, "y'know for spells and stuff"

Finn sighed. He really wanted to save the realms and get this whole leadership nightmare over with which is the only reason he said, "fine"

Anyta stumbled back in shock but she quickly recovered, "what? You can't be serious, Finn! We can't trust this witch!"

"Umm rude"

"What choice do we have?" Finn pointed out, ignoring Harper's previous comment.

They watched as Finn pushed us his shirt's sleeve, revealing his bare forearm. He placed his arm on top of the counter for Harper to extract the blood.

Opal was confused. Finn seemed so calm, so sure that everything would be fine. Harper picked up a needle grinning, it hovered over flesh and just as it made contact with the skin, a wave of golden energy pushed her into the shelves behind. The force so strong, it knocked her clean out.

"Grab the equipment" ordered Finn as his team stood in shock, unable to process what they just saw, "c'mon guys! NOW!"

His yelling broke their trace as they began to do as he said, picking up the climbing equipment. They then ran out the shop, as far as their feet could carry them in hopes they'd never see the young witch again.

Once a safe distance away from the little shop, Opal turned to Finn and asked the question she'd been wanting to ask since they ran out of there, "you knew that would happen?"

"I mean, I hoped.." stated the prince, "It's happened a few times before.. I think it's my power's way of protecting Me"

"It's awesome!" Exclaimed Nolan, his arms flying up into the air, "do it to Asher!"

"Hey!" Asher frowned

"We all thought it" Anyta added

Finn ignored their arguing and passed each of them a piece of the rope before tying the end around his own waist. The other's followers suit, grabbing their own pick axe.

"Let's do this shit"

This is so short but I wanted something out because it's been a long while since I updated this book. I'm trying to be more frequent now with longer chapters just bear with me.
