"Alright you lot!" Blitz stood at the head of the table in the Meeting Room, looking over the table at the four of us. "I've got good news, and good news. Now, who wants what first?"

The room was quiet, neither Loona nor I really paying attention. Loona was playing something on her phone, and I was scrolling through my gallery and removing images I no longer needed.

"Alright I guess I'll go with the good news first then!" He exclaimed, walking towards the whiteboard at the front of the room. He grabbed the top and flipped it over so the other side, which had a write-up for a plan on it, was exposed. "We have a new mission!"

Both Loona and I looked up at this, intrigued by the news. "What's the assignment, Boss?" I asked, now paying full attention. In my peripherals, I saw Loona put her phone down and look up at Blitz as well.

"Now, this one's for a family up on the surface world. Real nasty lot, these guys. Killing, mob business, drug deals. I'd already have this done, but I don't really want a repeat of the last time me and M&M went on a job like this." He glanced over at Moxxie, who cowered a little. "So I'd like assign you two, our resident hellhounds-" He looked towards Loona and I. "-to do this one for us. It's really a win for everyone, since this lot's home is in the middle of Gotham's Underground. You've got a human disguise, right Y/N?"

I nodded with a small grin. "The only disguise I don't need a spell for, Sir."

He nodded in approval, walking towards the board again. "The plan is simple... Loona and Y/N infiltrate the mob base in their human disguises, kill a bunch 'a dudes If they have to, get to the family and rip those fuckers to SHREDS!" A small fire seemed to burn in Blitz's eyes as he spoke.

I nudged Loona gently, getting her attention. "You can tell he loves what he does." I whispered, which earned a small laugh from her, which she quickly covered with a cough, pushing my head away.

"Back off, mutt-breath." She said, giving me a glare for a moment. She waited until eyes were off us to give me a wink, to which I gave her a thumbs up.

"Anyway, we'll equip you two with cameras so we can avoid missing out on any... action, and come for help if need be." Loona and I nodded, everyone standing at the table simultaneously standing up. "Meet me at the Weapons Locker entrance in five. And Loonie, don't forget to bring that fancy fuckin' book. We're on a time limit here."

"Whatever, Blitz." She rolled her eyes and left the room, followed by Moxxie and Millie.

"So, Y/N. Blitz rested his hands on the table and looked over at me as I tucked in my chair. "First assignment with us. You got the heebie-jeebies?"

I shook my head in response, giving him a confident smile. "This isn't my first rodeo when it comes to killing people." I reminded him. "Though it is my first time encountering your 'fancy fuckin' book'." I air-quoted the last bit of the sentence, not fully briefed on the assignment and equipment in-detail yet.

"Oh yeah, you don't know what the Grimoire is, do you?" He stood straight and dusted off his clothes a little. "It's the spell book that lets us get to the overword to do our job. I've got a... friend on the high-ups of hell. A, uh- a demon prince." I nodded, guessing silently that he had more to say. "But y'know- we're not a- it's not like—" He stopped, and his eyes darted around the room for a second. "It's a transactional fucking."

"I get it, I get it." I nodded, giving him a friendly smile. "I've been offered... similar payment for large jobs from clients with little money." I thought about the disguise book that I was given at the mention of a Grimoire, having a feeling Blitz's borrowed book and mine were the same. "...and I've seen a few of those books around as well."
