Y/N's Perspective
Mafia Base, Gotham City Underground

Loona and I crept through the alleyway towards our destination, sticking to the shadows so we could avoid being seen by any guards. We were both ready to attack if it was needed since I had given Loona one of my combat axes for the time being.

After a while of navigating alleyways, we found ourselves on a main street lined with shops, smoking teenagers and dotted with the occasional drive-by, which seemed fairly regular for the city.

"Do you know where we're going?" I turned around to face Loona, who quickly moved in front of me. "I'll take that one as a yes..."

"Just follow me, dumbass. And watch where you throw that axe. Hit your shots or this is gonna be a fuck-ton harder than it needs to be." Loona stopped at the corner of an intersection, looking both ways before heading down the street on our right. I followed behind, and soon enough we began to see armed patrols around the area.

"I think this is it..." I whispered, looking around at the armed guards. "Entry's gotta be around here somewhere."

"Two guards, right there. We need a disguise better than just a couple of teens." Loona pointed to a pair of guards walking into an alley, chatting to each other. I nodded to her, understanding our objective as we silently approached the guards, raising our axes and quickly taking them out.

We slipped on their uniforms over our clothes and exited the alley, trying to look as natural as possible as we navigated the mob base a little more freely.

Out of the corner of my eye, I saw a shadow dash across a rooftop and froze, my eyes fixed on where I saw it. "Loona..." I whispered, my hand cautiously hovering over the grip of my revolver. "I think we're being followed."

Loona turned around and traced my line of sight, not seeming to be concerned about whatever I saw. "Oh don't be such a baby. No one knows we're here, dumbass."

"Alright..." I replied as we stopped in front of a stairwell down to a seemingly abandoned subway. "You reckon it's down there somewhere?" I asked, examining the entrance stairs. "It'd be pretty typical."

Loona sniffed the air for a moment before nodding, quickly confirming my question. "Yep... this is the place."

We began to descend the stairs, our guns at the ready as we turned the corner. However, when we actually got down there, it was... empty? Quiet for sure, but it felt strange. Something was off and I could feel it, like a cold tingle down my spine.

"Something's not right here..." I said cautiously, swapping my UZIs for my shotgun. I looked around nervously, the shadows of the abandoned platform throwing me off. "It's like something's watching us... I don't trust it."

"Whatever, I'm getting out of these guard clothes. They're too tight on me and I fuckin' hate it." Loona quickly discarded the stolen clothes, so I decided to as well.

"I've never been a big fan of uniform..." I retorted, looking down at the piles of discarded uniforms before we pressed on down the subway platform.

"Oh God, it's the bat! Take him down!" An echo rang through the abandoned tunnels, forcing Loona and I to duck to cover.

"Fuck, I swear if we've been found--" Loona growled, peeking over the cover as the sounds of gunshots and bone-cracking punches echoed around.

"Get that fuckin' bat!" Another yell echoed through the tunnel, followed by the sound of a body dropping from the floor, making me grimace.

"Whatever's over there is really giving those mobsters a hard time..." I whispered, Loona silently agreeing.

After the fighting ceased and the echoes died away, we continued to move through the subway, navigating through a number of deserted tunnels, mess halls, storage rooms and hallways before arriving somewhere that seemed a little more lively.

"Gunfight time?" I asked Loona as we crouched on each side of a door to a large mess hall with mobsters all through it. Loona nodded in response, and on a silent count to three, we both dashed out and flipped up one of the metal tables, opening fire on the room of enemies.

The metal table we flipped faired pretty well against the bullets being thrown at us, all of which were missing us when we popped up to take shots at the mobsters.

"Sir, ve have some trouble vith a pair of teenagers down in ze mess hall... zhey have taken out a lot of our men und do not show any signs of slowing zheir attack. Requesting immediate backup, now!" An angry German voice echoed through the mess hall as one of the mobsters radioed for backup, irritating Loona.

"Y/N, you interested in having mobster sushi?" Loona asked as she transformed back into her Hellhound form, pulling out her bladed nun chucks and giving me a smirk before jumping out from the cover and spinning the bladed weapon above her head. The group of mobsters she was going for had almost no idea what just happened, and since there was a hellhound about to chop them up into slabs of meat, none of them really did anything but watch in horror as the blades came down on them.

Blood and body parts flew everywhere, and soon after watching Loona's display, I found myself in Hellhound form again too, wielding my combat axes with a dangerous, bloodthirsty look in my eyes.

Third Person

Y/N quickly jumped the cover and began a ruthless assault on the mobsters, tearing into the men in teal suits with his axes, claws and teeth. He did everything from group beheading to target practice, and in doing so he made a proper mess of himself alongside contributing to the repainting of the room.

Loona was much the same, her killing spree powered by the smell of blood, adrenaline in her veins and promise of glory. She dashed from one victim to the other, slicing and biting her way through the mobsters until there were only mangled bodies left.

Fairly quickly, the pair had painted the room red with blood and left piles of bleeding bodies all over the mess hall, with no breathing human to be seen. The two quickly advanced areas, kicking through glass windows and ripping doors off their hinged as they went, quickly closing in on their targets.

Y/N's Perspective

Loona and I had made it almost to our target family, who were now holed up in a small emergency bunker at the back of the underground complex. We knew where it was and what we'd need to get through it, thanks to Blitz and Moxxie, who had patched Loona's phone with a detailed map of the complex, including most basic hiding spots.

"I gotta say, I am having too much fun with this!" I exclaimed as I put my shotgun to the back of a passing guard's head, sending him off to the afterlife with a quick pull of the trigger. "The blood in the air's got me going!"

"Keep that energy up N/N, 'cause guess what?" Loona stopped walking at the entrance to a long, shadowy hallway and looked directly down it, her eyes fixated on a locked door at the other end. "We've officially arrived."

A/N: Fitting end to the chapter, if I do say so myself. Writing this took a good while to perfect, but it's so worth it in my mind! I've got more on the way soon, so keep an eye out! Until then, folks!
