Jimin remembered the first time he met the Crown Prince. It was a warm summer and the moon was high in the night sky. In this specific garden, a place he had accidentally ventured into, when his dreams were still in his line of sight.

Looking back at it all, he might have wandered here through accident or through coincidence. Back then, the garden was abandoned and was only restored after Jimin had died. He didn't think anyone would come to see him dance that day. The day he was preparing to enter the opera house school of dance. He used to be shy when he performed, a little scared his insecurities would come to light during his dance. Looking back at it he felt a little foolish. Foolish that all it took were a few words from someone to gain confidence. Jimin stood up allowing his body to flow under the gazebo where the light of the moon gazed.

Dance brought him to another world. One where the light touched everything and the shadows were not found. His soul would feel light, like he was a bird gliding into the horizon. Of the things he missed when he was alive, one was dance and the other...

The Crown Prince had been the centre to Jimin's world, from the beginning. And because he had no shame, he wanted him. Jimin had nothing so he had nothing to lose. He wanted Yoongi from the first glance, not knowing who he was until much later.

And even when he knew, that didn't stop him. Jimin followed the Crown Prince around and squeezed himself into the Alpha's life. The beta always wore his heart on his sleeves and it didn't take long for all the maids in the palace to know. And if they knew, everyone knew.

Sometimes Jimin wondered if he didn't die that day, would he be able to perform in the Royal Opera house? Would he shine brightly like the moon which reflected on the pond? Would the Crown Prince watch from the best seat in the house? Would he have been proud?

But things are different now. He no longer had access to the life he used to own. What was his plan now? Jimin thought as he swirled into his next move. If he married the Crown Prince would that be enough to keep his life? Because people marry and have happy endings. Would this second chance be his?

Every time Jimin danced he didn't dance for an audience. It was always to free the spirit within himself. But one spectator found him that night, and this night wasn't different. The moment was perfect yet fragile. And Jimin knew as soon as his eyes set on the Crown Prince's amber eyes once again, that nothing really changes.

"Jimin?" A familiar voice called.

He knew he would only be in love with one person, no matter which life he lived.
