Chapter 12: From Popular to Nerdy

Kendall's POV

Ever since what happened with Paige she's gotten a new group of friends. She's ditched Hannah, Aaylah, Krystal, Chloe and I, and replaced them with some other kind of popular girls. Adriana, the pretty girl that is usual really shy was one of them. I guess Paige was out for blood and she probably promised Ari that she could get Dakota to date her. He was a short boy with brown hair and brown eyes. Paige was powerful and I wouldn't doubt that happening.

Another girl that she recruited was Gennie. I wasn't shocked as much as I was about Ari. Gennie was sweet, but she was already popular and her and Paige would be unstoppable. She was in my fifth grade class and would always be very jubilant and enthusiastic.

Last of her recruits was Emily. Every girl was jealous of her waist length silky dark brown hair and her beautiful brown eyes. She would be really mean at sometimes though, but most people didn't pay attention to that. She was very enthusiastic, but even though she was popular, she was also the teacher's pet which drives people (me) to insanity. We aren't exactly friends, though sometimes I kind of wished we were. No wonder why Paige chose her.

I found about this from Josh. The good thing about being his friend is that he'll spy on his sister for me.

I hope he doesn't think that we're more than friends because we're not.

It's not like I want to.

Really.

Stop doubting me.

I'm seriously not lying.

Anyways, I was dreading for all this to be over. Brooke went along with her and all I'm left with is Michelle. I haven't seen her in ages with all this drama, I really need someone's shoulder to cry on.

*flashback*

"Hey girl your sketchers are really cute!" Preschool Michelle squealed. I hugged her. Back then life was so simple and perfect.

"Thanks! What's your name?" I've never gotten a compliment before! This was exhilarating for my little four year old body.

"Michelle. Some of my friends call me Mimi. I wike (like) Michelle better."

"Okay. Michelle. Will you be my frwend (friend)?"

"Ga (yeah)!" She replied and we locked our pinkies. Little did we know that we were starting a long term friendship that would carry out all the way through elementary school.

*end of flashback*

I know that Michelle will come back. She was a very forgiving person.

"Hey Michelle. I haven't seen you in a while." I said as I picked up the phone and dialed her number. I couldn't wait to hear her sweet voice.

"Yeah, wish that I was invited to your party." She gloomily spoke.

"Michelle that was Paige and I shut them down. I hate her guts now."

"Yeah sure... I umm... got to go. See you ... uhh... in school bye." She hung up on me! I could hear somebody's faint voice in the background. I could almost faintly recognize it. Emily.

Range. That's how I would explain this extreme intensity of human emotion. I was completely in total range. A rush of anger. No I did not loathe Emily, but we weren't necessarily besties, and that means Michelle, my best friend since diapers, is now with Paige's minions. This means war and honey I'm not in it for a spark. Just wait for the dynamite.
