Kendall's POV

It happened! I'm actually jubilant again and I never thought that was physically possible! Josh and I are dating!

The only thing is that Josh is going to a different high school. I'm really proud of him but this feeling of wishing he'd stay is augmenting in me.

Josh was going to be something amazing with his athletics, grades and creativity, but in order for him to persuade his dream, he had to take the full scholarship to the best private high school in the state, and I couldn't stop him.

I was happy for him, but if I truly was then how come I felt my heart being demolished into microscopic pieces?

So for the next month and a half we will see each other everyday, or at least almost everyday.

He told me he didn't want to take me out until after the last day of school, which he would skip the graduation after party for. I didn't like it, but I consented.

He told me his plan for the last day and I thought it was brilliant and inspiring. It turns out he's been planning it this whole time and that he included me in his original plan. I couldn't say no to this kind of thing!

Days past and Josh and I just hung out and did homework, went to the movies and stuff like that, but we never went on an official date. I started to wonder about if the distance would affect us.

I can't believe I just thought that, but yes I'm doubting it.

All of sudden it was June 12th and tomorrow would be Friday, the last day of school. Now the last day of school is usually emotional and everyone dresses their best. For me, it would certainly be emotional, but I'm just going to be myself. (An: Predictions about the plan here)

Josh came over to plan the whole thing. He called his friend Ron, who was good with tech stuff and was the head of the morning announcements, which we had a TV in each classroom to present them.

When it was all done it was awkward all of a sudden. It didn't help when I asked him, "Why don't you want to take me out on an actual date? What are you waiting for?" He seemed surprised on my outburst but only grinned and responded,

"Just the perfect moment,"

I walked into school with Josh. Aaylah and the others weren't included in this plan because it was just something Josh and I had to settle to this school, and to other in the future.

We walked along the long, old beaten down hallways. We hurried to the room where the morning announcements where held and Ron just smiled.

"You're early,"

"Well Benjamin Franklin didn't make history by sleeping in now did he?" I joked. He took us to the station with a blue screen with two chairs nearby.

So today he decided to take me on our first date, except he wouldn't tell me anything! No matter how hard I tried to get him to talk. So now I'm getting ready with Krystal, Hannah and Aalyah. He said it was going to be, " formal but nothing too fancy, like causal but a little fancier," like do boys not get that we, as girls, take type of dress very seriously? Like what the heck does he mean?

I was standing in my room, in front of my mirror staring at two casual dresses. The one I was wearing was a floral skater dress that was tight at the top, and the one I was gripping was a grey sweater dress that I would pair with a layered gold necklace. Aaylah was sitting on my bed which was close to my mirror and Krystal and Hannah sat besides her thinking hard on the decision. Eventually Hannah spoke up,

"Go with the sweater dress it's stylish," and the rest of them nodded in approval. I smiled and we shared a group hug.

"Stay strong girl,"
