Chapter Twelve

Wednesday 6:30 am

Iwaizumi had hoped that Oikawa would be waiting for him when he left his home to go to morning practice, but he wasn't. He wanted to feel pissed but all he felt was worry and sadness. He knocked a few times on the boys door and tried to call him but there was no answer. If Kawa wasn't going to be at practice then as Vice Captain it was his job to at least show up on time.

He reached the usual meeting place and noticed that Matsun and Makki were waiting for him. For some reason Makki looked like he wanted to kill someone and by the looks he was giving Iwa he realised that someone was him.

"No Kawa today?" Matsun asked. "No" the boy replied. "Do you have something that you would like to share with us, Iwaizumi? Makki asked giving him a withering glare" Just as he was about to answer his cell phone rang. "Hi Iwaizumi san, where are you? asked an obviously worried Yahaba. "I've just met up with Matsun and Makki, we're on our way. Is something wrong? "It's Oikawa san."
"What's wrong with Oikawa?" He asked his anxiety rising. "Put him on speaker" Makki demanded.

Makki - Yahaba, what's going on

Yahaba - I got here at 6am and Oikawa san was already here. There were volleyballs all over the gym and he looks exhausted but he won't stop serving balls. Kyo tried to stop him but he couldn't

Matsun - It's okay we're on our way just keep watch over him so that he doesn't injure himself.

Iwa put the phone down and looked at the other two. Makki was furious and screamed at the spikey haired boy, "If he ends up injuring himself because of your obliviousness I will end you". "What? I don't understand" Iwa replied looking confused. "Not the time, you two, we need to get to Kawa" Matsun interjected. The boys began to quicken their pace until they were running at full speed towards the gym.

As the boys turned the corner they saw a scared looking Kindaichi, Kunimi was with him but the boy had his usual blank expression but they all heard it. The bangs reverberated through the gym and around the surrounding area. Iwa thought 'shit, this is bad' as he ran through the gym doors with the other two boys. Kyoutani, Yahaba and Watari were trying to stop their Captain but to no avail.

"Kawa" shouted Iwa, but the boy didn't stop it was like he was in a trance. "Oi shittykawa" Iwa screamed. Oikawa stopped and turned to look at the boy, he looked psychotic. Iwa was actually scared for the first time in his life. Kawa walked towards Iwa and slammed the ball into the boys arms, "Don't you fucking call me that you fuck boy" he screamed and then walked away towards the changing room.

"What the fuck is going on?" Iwa shouted. "Why is he so mad at me?" "Figure it out bitch" Makki screeched whilst running to follow Oikawa. Matsun felt a little sorry for the boy, it seemed to have no idea as to why his friends were so mad at him. "I believe that someone got confessed to yesterday" Iwaizumi looked at him with confusion, "What?" "Did you accept her feelings?" Matsun asked. "No, of course not, why would you think that?" "Look bro, Kawa saw it happen and apparently you didn't turn her down which has led him to believe that you are seriously considering dating her". Iwa looked confused, "why would Kawa care? Does he like her?" "Oh my God you are so fucking dense, "Matsun laughed, "he cares because...... no sorry it's not my place to tell you".

Over on the other side of the school Makki had finally caught up to an enraged Oikawa. "Kawa, stop, please". The brunette turned around and looked at his friend, "I fucking hate him Makki, I hate him so much. I'm so angry about letting myself fall for a straight guy." Makki smirked he couldn' help it, this seemed to wind up Kawa even more, "I'm glad you find my life so funny Makki." "It's not that I find your life amusing. It's that you can't realise that Iwa is most definitely not straight, especially where you're concerned". Both boys sighed deeply as Kawa wailed, "my life is a literal shit show".

Makki just replied, "I know babe, believe me I know"

Iwaizumi seemed to have an epiphany, "Are you trying to tell me that my crush has feelings for me?" Matsun just glanced at him and replied, "I cannot confirm or deny the allegation but if you're serious about Kawa you need to reject the girls feeling asap preferably right in front of Oikawa.

A devilish smile spread across Iwa's face, "Oh I can do that, most definitely".
