"Vee, you look like you're about to do something bad." Yihwa told her friend who was sitting across her while they were eating their lunch in the company's cafeteria where they are having their internship.

"I'm not." Vee answered shortly.

"Really? You've been acting like this since you have found out that Mark has a girlfriend."

The stressed man only heaved a deep sigh. "Can't I make him mine?"

"Are you for real?! Vee Vivis, is that you? I should tell Ai'Bar about this. Nong Mark is a beta."

Vee's eyebrows furrowed. "I don't care about that. I just want him to stay by my side and not anyone else."

"You can't force him. Besides, he's already dating someone. I heard the girl is also a beta. They are a perfect match."

Suddenly, Yihwa could feel Vee's pheromones coming strong. As a fellow alpha, she raised her guard. "Vee, can you please calm down? Why are you getting out of control now?!"

"Don't say they're a perfect match. Don't even mention that girl. I could make her lose everything if I want to."

"Vee!! If you harm that girl, Mark would definitely hate you. Can you take it?"

As if he was splashed by cold water, Mark's angry face popped into Vee's mind and he immediately felt defeated. His heart crumpled in pain.

"Can't I do something to keep him?"

Yihwa shook her head. "What if you found your omega? Will you still be able to choose nong Mark?"

Without any hesitation, he answered. "Yes!"

"Are you sure?"

"This second gender only controls our body and mind but not this heart of mine. I know what I want. If my omega appears in front of me and my body and mind tells me that I need to choose that omega over Mark, I'm willing to do anything to stop this second gender insanity."

"You know that's impossible. But, you could also hurt Nong Mark if you force yourself on him."

"I'll wait. I'll try until he sees me not as an alpha but as myself. I...just can't control my feelings for him."

"Aren't you too fast to say that?"

Vee looked at his friend with conviction. "Feelings are not about how long you have met or how long you have been together. Once you heart started to beat for that person, once you know how painful it is to have those feelings restrained and how much sacrifice and risk you are willing to take for, that's just it."

Yihwa was left speechless. She couldn't believe those lines coming from her friend.

Meanwhile, Mark was having lunch together with Leyla.

"Mark, you seem bothered by something. Did something happen?" Leyla asked.

"Ley, what if someone tells you that you're not a beta but an omega? How would you feel?"

"It depends who said it. If it is a doctor, then I might believe it because there are cases of late emergence. But if it is just someone, I'll probably ask why they think so. Why are you asking this?"

Mark had a deep sigh. "A senior is constantly telling me, no, he is kind of making me think I am an omega."

"Wait, seriously? Everyone else is telling you that you are probably an alpha and not a beta but an omega? That's new. So, did that senior give you any reason why they think so?"
