sunflowers and tulips

It's been so long.

3rd person pov:

"S-SUNNY?!" Basil yelled out. He looked straight into his eyes in shock and disbelief, he's back. Sunny's back? why now?

"yeah...hi Basil." Sunny awkwardly said looking down at the floor. He was scared but hoped Basil wasn't mad.

Just then, Sunny felt a pair of arms swing around him. "It's been so long....i missed you!" Basil says almost at the verge of tears. Sunny then hugs back and they stay there for a few minutes before realising what was happening.

"oh! uhm....s-sorry.." Basil apologised feeling his face go red.

"no no it's alright!" Sunny then reassured before walking closer to Basil so he could pick up his stuff he dropped on the floor before placing them nicely on Basil's bed.

Basil ran to his bed and quickly unpacked all his stuff before remembering something.

"Hey, er sunny?" Basil started. Sunny hummed in response as he started to unpack as well.

"Have you seen a green jacket anywhere?" Basil questioned and Sunny jolted up. "It had yellow daisies and a white tulip pin on it" Of course Sunny knew what he meant.

"Oh uhm yea I saw it laying around and wanted to return it to you but...i got nervous so i...kept it." Sunny said embarrassed as he reached for his bag and took out the jacket handing it to Basil.

"omg thanks for keeping it for me Sunny!" Basil said before heaving a sigh of relief.

"So Sunny....how's your" Basil hesitated, but decided to continue. "you know...your eye." Sunny just looked at him before answering.

"oh my eye? dont worry it isnt that bad now" Hearing that made Basil guilty of what he did that night as the memories flowed back and he could remembering everything clearly.

"Hey Basil..." Sunny said as he made his way to Basil before patting him on the back "Hey...it's alright, im fine now. It's all over now. We can rest now." Sunny reassured before giving Basil a hug.

Tears formed in Basil's eyes as he hugged back before breaking down in tears. Sunny stayed there comforting him repeating that everything is okay and wasnt his fault.

Soon Basil fell asleep causing Sunny to be stuck with a peaceful sleeping Basil. Sunny carefully lied down so he wont wake Basil up.

"Goodnight Basil." Sunny said before letting sleep take over him.
