chapter 10

The siblings arrive at the Flame clan's flagship. They are immediately taken to the medical wing.

Renee looks at Y/n.

Renee: *sadly* Y/n.

Huatheith: This is our father?

Renee: Yes.

Aunkail: He is exactly as mother described him.

Huatheith: Is there a way to help him?

Renee: I don't know. *sigh*

Aunkail began to examine Y/n.

Aunkail: I believe that there is a way, I heard a flower on a planet that it's population used to heal disease.

Huatheith: Where?

Aunkail: Planet designated Blue four.

Huatheith: The one with the large quill throwing beasts?

Aunkail nods.

Huatheith: Then that's where we are going.

Renee begins to get up.

Aunkail: Not you, you stay here and keep an eye on him.

Renee: But.

Aunkail: No, we can handle this.

The siblings walk out of the room and Renee sits back down and looks at Y/n.

As the duo arrive on the planet, they begin searching for the flower.

They manage to find one, but as soon as they pick it a huge monster appears out of the ground.

Aunkail: Oh look, one of those beasts we were talking about.

The beast had a back and tail full of sharp quills that regenerated rapidly unless the roots of them were removed.

Huatheith: Well then, I guess we can play for a bit.

Aunkail: Let's not mess around, we're on a time limit.

The creature launches quills at them, the duo dodge and run in two opposite directions to flank the creature.

The creature doesn't fully grasp the situation and turns towards Aunkail. She keeps running as the creature fires on her, giving Huatheith the perfect opportunity to jump and stab through the creature's brain to kill it instantly.

With the creature defeated they head back to the Flame clan where the flower is used as a powder to heal Y/n.

But even with the flower, it would still take about a week for Y/n to get better.

Y/n groans as he awakens from his coma, he sees the medical equipment attached to him.

He notices a sleeping Renee by his bed side, her head resting against his arm.

The slight movements in his arm was enough for Renee to wake up.

She looks at Y/n and notices his eyes are open.

Renee: Y/n!

She immediately jolts up and holds his hand.

Y/n: Hey, beautiful. How long was I out?

Renee: *chuckles* A while. B...but I am so happy that you are okay!

A few moments later, the siblings enter.

Aunkail: It seems that our father has awoken.

Y/n: Father?!

The siblings take their helmets off, revealing their faces which look like a perfect mix of the two species.

Aunkail: I am Aunkail, of clan Golden Sun. *puts helmet to her side* And this is my brother Huatheith, of clan Braken.

Y/n: I...see. Is there any others?

Huatheith: Not that we know of.

Y/n: Alright then.

Aunkail: Father, we do have other news. A faction against our entire species has arose. One made out of fear.

Y/n: And I know who is leading it. The bastard that got the better of me. Have you found out anything?

Huatheith: We found a place where they make that armor they got.

Y/n: That's our first target then. The Flame clan will assist us in an assault.

Meanwhile the one responsible for these events is known only as the Crusader.

All that is known is his hatred for Yautja.

He sits down in his chair in front of his desk.

He knows when he is being watched.

Crusader: You can come out now.

From the ceiling a large Yautja warrior appeared.

Crusader: You aren't here to kill me, that much is clear.

Warrior: No. I just wanted to see how long it would take for you to figure out where I was.

Crusader: And why would you do that?

Warrior: I hear that you want to kill all Yautja, and I want the same thing.

Crusader: And why is that?

Warrior: Not your concern. Just know that I despise my own people.

Crusader: Good enough for me. I know that we will have a very fun time together.

The Flame clan readies a small strike force to attack the manufacturing plant, but will this attack go as planned?
