STAY ALIVE

CHAPTER 7

11AM

Jungkook tried to call Taehyung since he heard the news but the boy was not picking the calls. Jungkook wasn't worried about Taehyung not picking the call because once the boy sleeps, he wouldn't even know if someone kidnaps him. Jungkook knew that Taehyung didn't sleep for past two days so he must be really worn out. He was sitting beside Namjoon in the hospital while the older male was going through his laptop.

"Hyung, what are we going to do?" Jungkook asked trying to keep his calm.

"What does that mean? You need to rest for a month atleast, before resolving the missions so we will take care of this for the time being." Namjoon assured as his fingers moved so fast through the keys.

"I don't want to stay back when you all are working your ass off." He complained hoping they would take him too.

Jungkook knew it was not going to happen because the list of members and their mission is already announced. Jungkook's name was not there because Namjoon cares a little extra for his boy while Taehyung's name was mentioned twice or thrice. Jungkook wondered why Baekyun was being hard on Taehyung, knowing the boy is badly hurt. He wanted to go to the mission to protect Taehyung or else the others would take the chance on him.

He was calling Taehyung to tell him to find an excuse and get off from the mission even though, he knew the other wouldn't do it. Backing off a mission means admitting their defeat so if he does that, no one will value him after that. Taehyung wanted to win over all the gangs and for that, he had to sacrifice a lot till then. Jimin and Hoseok returned successfully after their mission in few hours because Namjoon asked for a meeting regarding the next one.

"Jungkook, you can go back now."

"Hyung, am I not even allowed to know the plan?"

"No, if you stay here then you will find a way to sneak into the location so no details shall be shared with you." Namjoon gave a plain smile to Jungkook which didn't help the boy at all.

If he couldn't get to know the plan, then he has no way to keep Taehyung away from it. He never spies on his gang and give informations to Taehyung but he, himself does everything to protect the boy. He doesn't mind Taehyung getting beaten up or anything but he would never let anything happen that would risk his life.

"No hyung, if I leave now..... I would feel like a stranger. I won't come to the mission but I want to feel that I am also one among you." He gave his doe eyes to Namjoon and Hoseok because Jimin would never fall for it.

"Listen to me and go." Namjoon repeated again as he raised his voice.

7PM

"Tae, are you going to be fine?" Jin asked noticing the boy dragging himself to the parking lot.

"I am all fine." He lied while moving his leg a little, being careful to not get the stitch broken.

"You got stitches?" Yoongi asked, noticing the strain which the boy had in moving himself.

"Just eight." He smiled brightly making the others scoff.

Taehyung was on his way to meet his gang when Jungkook kept calling him, that he didn't notice the phone going off. He was informed that even if he can't get up on his feet, he needed to drag himself or else they would send guards. Taehyung didn't want the guards to come when Jungkook is at home so he lied to them that he was fine. He covered the wound with more cloth so that even if there is any bleeding, they wouldn't notice.

He was some one who lived on his pride, letting his guard down in front of others would be worse than death to him. He knew Jungkook was not there in the mission because of his hand, only relief he had. Taehyung walked into the room with the others to meet Baekyun who was already waiting for them. The other guards were also assembled in the room waiting for their command.

"How is your injury?" The man asked as soon as he saw Taehyung walk in.

"Not fully healed." Taehyung sighed as he walked to the boy to greet him but Baekyun just used his gun to hit on the wound.

Taehyung groaned as he immediately held his leg, to make sure the stitch didn't break. The others gasped and Jin immediately ran to him, to hold him before falling down. Baekyun bit his lower lips while scanning the younger who had tears flowing down his eyes due to the immense pain and frustration.

"Looks like you are not healed yet." He chuckled before going back to his seat.

"You could have opened his stitch." Yoongi yelled in frustration.

"Is it that easy to open a stitch? If so, he is not going for the mission. What do yiu think Tae?"

"I am fine and I am doing this mission no matter what." Taehyung gritted his teeth before taking his breath, after pulling his pants up a little to not tighten the wound.

Baekyun laid out a paper and then turned on the screen which showed the map. Five gangs were mentioned in the plan and each one of them were the best of all time. The gangs are branched to smaller groups so when the main groups come in, all the smaller ones join automatically to give their support. Taehyung now understood what Baekyun meant by giving a break after the mission.

After about an hour, they walked out of the room to go to their respective location. Taehyung could feel his death right in front of his eyes, the pain he would go through. Jungkook wouldn't be there to save him but at least the boy would survive. The only thing which bothered Taehyung is that, he could no longer protect his love. Everything would end even before Jungkook could realize what happened.
