MEANWHILE

15th June, 2021.
7.30pm

Jungkook parked the car and ran upstairs not even waiting for the elevator because he was so damn desperate. He rushed to the door and tried to use the pass code which didn't work for the first two times because his messed up brain was in a confusion. For some seconds, he thought Taehyung changed it but in the third try, he was lucky enough to get it opened. Jungkook threw his coat to the side and ran into the room hoping to see a sleeping Taehyung.

"Tae!!" Jungkook screamed as he kicked open the door to an empty space.

The bed was perfectly arranged which was a mystery because Taehyung was born messy. He never arranged his bed even if he is so jobless, the sheets were folded and the pillows were arranged next to each other in a pattern. The curtains were pulled together, allowing the sunlight to enter the bed room which was again a shock. Jungkook remembered how much he had to shout at Taehyung to let some light pass into the room.

"Ta-taehyung?" Jungkook slowly walked to the washroom while repeating some deperate prayers.

The washroom was not even locked indicating that there would be no one in there. That was enough for Jungkook to go through another set of heart break. Taehyung had left the apartment without even bothering to inform it to Jungkook and he does that only when he goes to some important missions. Jungkook cursed as he threw the ash tray which he found on the table to vent his anger. He hated when the boy acts on impulse just to maintain his public figure as if he is some celebrity.

He banged the door behind and went to his office room to pick the guns and essentials. He needed to go to the mission some how and for that he first needed to disguise himself. If Jungkook walks straight into the mission, he will be shot from all side because he was breaking a rule. People used to say that he and Taehyung almost look alike in some angles which he didn't believe till then. But, at this point he wanted to see if that is true and if it works, he had a plan. It was either do or die but even in both situation, he wanted to make sure Taehyung would be fine.

The time was around eight when Jungkook finally got ready in Taehyung's outfits. He covered his face with a mask and styled his hair to a mess from the perfect straight bangs. He kind of looked like Taehyung but he still didn't feel it much as he has been watching the boy since a long time. He picked his weapons and was about to rush out but his eyes fell on a piece of paper which was by the side of his bullet box. Taehyung knew Jungkook would definitely open that before following him.

He opened the folded paper with shaking hands and as he unfolded it each time, Taehyung's uneven hand writing came to his view. He read one or two words before fully opening it and it was kind of a regret for Jungkook. He cursed himself for even opening it because now he was a mess, he didn't know what to do. He even had to rethink his decision to save Taehyung because the letter held so much information which Jungkook never even dreamed about. His legs became so weak, that he slid down to the floor in a go with the paper still secured in his hands.

His eyes followed each word again and again, not knowing if it was really written for him or if it was a prank. Taehyung can be so spontaneous so there is no way that Jungkook would easily trust it but Taehyung even attached some proof into the letter so when Jungkook thought about it, everything made sense. He was feeling stupid enough to not to have realized all this earlier when he was with Taehyung. He seemed to have slipped a good amount of information and details regarding Taehyung while he was busy with the missions and his hyungs.

Tears started wetting the paper, the ink slowly spreading which Jungkook noticed. It was written not so long ago, maybe right before Taehyung left for the mission and he must have written down all of this thinking, he wouldn't make it out of the mission. Jungkook screamed in frustration as he pushed the crumbled paper into his jacket pocket before running out. He was totally broken, much more broken than the last time when Taehyung literally left him with no words for like a couple of months.

Jungkook thought that was the end once and he immersed himself in the missions only to later realize Taehyung was in the hospital after a mission for two months or so. Jungkook decided that night, never to doubt Taehyung until he sees the boy himself or until he talks it out. The letter must be a warning for Jungkook or must be a silly trick that the boy pulled to keep Jungkook away from the mission and to keep him safe.

"What do I believe?" Jungkook cried while driving to the location of the mission.

He was literally flying the car because if he goes in late to be welcomed with his boy friend's dead body, he had better suicide right there. If he gets another chance to regret, then he had better end his life before giving a chance for that. Taehyung have had enough of miseries because of Jungkook and his stubbornness. Once, he fell out of the car and got his head injured really bad, then once a knife stab on his torso, snapping his neck that he had to put the collar belt for three months and the stab last night. That was more than enough for Jungkook to regret over a life time.

Another one hour and it was just about to be nine in the night, Jungkook managed to reach the location after scratching his car twice or thrice on the way. He jumped out of the car only to get his broken hand hit the side wall really hard causing him to whimper. His puffed up cheeks were showing traces of dried tears and his lips were cut every where as he was biting into the soft skin due to the immense pressure. If the letter is true, he just knows one thing that has to be done.

KILL TAEHYUNG.
